Selling Computers in the renowned Computer Village, Ikeja, Lagos and beyond (as far as Accra, Ghana), with value-added market penetration is like selling and penetrating the busiest Wall Street. The safety of the products I moved depended totally on my ability to be smart, collected and paying attention to the smallest detail. 
Though I spent a very limited timeframe here, yet I consistently exceeded sales target, leading and supervising my team for optimum turnover.

 I sold and marketed computer hardware and software. 
 I ensured the implementation of set sales strategies.
 I achieved and exceeded all set target.
 I updated Customer database and supervised other sales executives. 
 I performed other relevant duties as required.

Here, I was technically the revenue hub, admin pro and think tank. I reinvented all clinical processes. I changed the general ambience of client reception. I created a swift access to customer and clinical database at one-click using Microsoft office. I upgraded hospital's payment channels by introducing POS Machines which enabled immediate cash deposits in emergency situations. Through this, I reduced debt owed hospital after patient discharge to as low as 15%.

I attended to customers and resolved their complaints. 
I carried out cash registration duties.
I performed salary accounting.
I procured drugs for the organization. 
I ensured the efficient and effective management of the database.  Used Excel to input clinical data.
I performed hospital administrative duties.
I took minutes and wrote letters as required. 
I managed salary payment.
I performed other required duties.
Key Achievement(s): I introduced POS machines. I introduced salary disbursement to staff from the bank.

In my opinion—this is arguably correct 😒

It might come as a shocker, but this calls for a deep reflection.

As LinkedIn President Elect and Papa, I have a different perspective.

Y’all should read before you drag me 😏

A lot of us are beginning to shed tears on the degeneration of LinkedIn by content creators and visibility seekers.

It’s now mostly about metrics than #value addition.
Attention is now on “cashing out” and early gratification 

He said two things that calls for close attention:

1. Active Users: could mean the people who sleep and wake up on LinkedIn.
2. The People He Knows: the proportion of knowledge shared to active users is thinning out “massively.”

(Most posts are now about birthdays, milestones, 2k gigs, and confusion of newbies)

Here’s my humble opinion:
① visibility does not equate competence. You can be visible, influence others yet highly incompetent.
② activity does not equate competence/productivity. You can be active but have very shallow knowledge about how things work.

—instead of being obsessively active but empty, can you invest in reading books, take a new course, enroll in a degree.
(become usefully busy, not every time, you’re on LinkedIn)

When do we go back to the days when LinkedIn was for thought leadership?

When people share values from trainings than cockroach and cupboard celebrations?

I hope this is enough food for thought.

Leaving my mother’s house at 7 was the best decision I ever made. 🥺

Growing up, I saw poverty all around me. 

I’ve been that child who dares to think differently, who would sacrifice everything for everyone.

I saw my elder brothers go on holidays to people houses (I was the last child)
but they couldn’t stay.

This day, about 3 decades ago, I told my mum, it was time.

I was 7, timid, naive — a child that needed more family warmth, love and support, but I left.
I left to harshness, to rejection, to abuse.

This was my first handshake with sacrificing.
I learned this sacrifice early and it became my life’s core principle.

No food - yet, I served others hungry
No school fees - yet, I dressed others for school 
No shelter - yet, I washed mansions for my guardians.
No hope for survival - yet I taught every kid I met not to lose hope.

I saw it all, abuse, rejection, deprivation, suppression, isolation.

I remember being isolated when good foods were served, isolated when family pictures were taken, etc.
“Moments that every child of my age cherished.”
I never had a childhood, I paid it all forward as price for my elevation.

I remember a day where I was beaten till I lay in my own blood. 😭

Everything stared me in the face “you don’t belong here.”
Everything echoed “you’re not a part of us.”

Fast forward to today, the rejected stone has become the chief cornerstone.

Stay there.
Sacrifice a bit more.
“What future will your sacrifices lead you to?
As 2025 ends, think deeply, am I sacrificing enough?

Sacrifice is the meat of great leaders.

Very few people know I was shot in my final year — it’s been a decade 😣

It’s not even something worth remembering that I was shot in my final year in the university.

But last week, I saw the scars and one more time, I could look up and be grateful.

This is because I would have died 10yrs ago.
You, reading this, wouldn’t have known me.

My survival still remains an evidence that God has a plan for my life.

The scars tell a story of grace, survival and blessings.

This is December 2025.
What are you grateful for?

You can continue to race against the tides.
You can continue to be in a rush.
You can continue to sorrow.
Wishing the year was a lot better.
Or mourning why you’re the only failure.

BUT remember,
A lot of your mates couldn’t survive 2025.
People who had the same dreams and aspirations.

Gratitude is the mother of opportunities.

Each time I see the scars,
I tell myself “Ifeanyi…
You can still be the Governor 
You can still be the President 
You can still be the Chief Executive.”

If you survived this, then you can survive anything.
You can thrive where others fail.

The number of my scars became the number of my victories in 2025.

You can continue to recount ypur blessings when you live a grateful life.

…while men say there’s a casting down, yours will be different.

This is your December to thrive.

HAS NIGERIA HAPPENED TO YOU? 😏

You may cringe, but this is a leadership question.

Some of you screamed rn — “GOD FORBID”

But that’s it, we’re exactly the problem.
We believe our nation is cursed. 
So how do we breakthrough? 
How do we become blessed?
(Have you heard how Americans bless America?)

If we don’t believe in Nigeria, who will?
If we don’t give to Nigeria, who should?

Let me tell us story that formed this gloomy perception:

5 years ago, our flag was stained with blood. 
More precisely, September 20, 2020.

We were just trying to recover from the COVID 19 pandemic shock when #ENDSARS hit us.

That day, the phrase “May Nigeria Not Happen to You” became a reality.

A lot of youths were hurt, some, soaked in their own cold blood… 
Questions were asked “who ordered the shooting — yet no answers to date.”

Would you say Nigeria happened to these young protesters or that day happened to Nigeria.

Some of their legacies remain today, such that I wouldn’t mention in this post.

Leadership is about sacrifice.
Purpose is about sacrifice.
If you have not given anything to Nigeria, don’t expect anything in return.

These were the words of my mentor, Obinna Ukachukwu, last Friday.

“The Nigeria has happened to me mentality is an entitlement mentality.”

① We have insecurity challenges: who can produce a novelty solution?
② We have transportation issues: who can build an innovative solution?
③ We have infrastructural problems: who can design an execution framework?

As long as the earth remains, problems will abound.
Instead asking what you’ve received, can you begin to ask “what can I give?

This is the mark of true leadership.

The “Nigeria has happened to me” mindset is a victimization agenda.
(Let’s end this).
