I’m back after a two-month break from LinkedIn.

And a few things changed while I was away.

First, LinkedIn feels louder than before.
More opinions. More noise. Less depth.

Second, everyone seems to be in a rush to sell something.

Faster pitches. 
Shorter attention. 
Quicker judgments.

And third, genuine conversations feel rarer.
But when they happen, they matter more than ever.

But more than all of that, something else happened.

When I opened LinkedIn after those two months, I saw hundreds of unread messages.

Messages saying:

“Ifti, are you okay?”
“Where did you disappear?”
“Hope everything is fine on your end.”
“LinkedIn doesn’t feel the same without your insights.”

I didn’t expect that.

And that’s when it hit me.

Over the last year, without being loud or trying to impress, I had built something real.

Not just content.
Not just visibility.

A small, loyal community of people who cared beyond the post.

And that means a lot to me.

So yes, I’m back.
But things will be different this time.

This profile won’t be about surface-level updates or chasing attention.

At 17, I dropped out of college.

Today, I'm building Local Education to connect teachers and support staff with their perfect school while helping schools find the best educators and save money.

I kicked off my journey in education recruitment back in 2014 after spending a few years in public-sector recruitment with a large agency.

I was instantly drawn to how much of a difference a supply agency can make in the lives of both students and staff.

Working in education felt like a calling because having the right person in the right spot can truly transform the learning experience for young people.

After 15 years of working for several large agencies, I had two realizations:

1) We need to create a more cost-effective way to assist local schools.

2) There is a national shortage of qualified teaching staff, and those in the supply market are often undervalued.

In June 2022, I built my first local agency, EECS, specifically helping schools in the South Essex Area.

Local Education was created to help schools find the best local teachers and staff. 
We also provide quality training to upskill teachers in the community, creating a passionate talent pool that cares about their schools and students.
