LinkedIn has started to feel too generic lately.

It’s been almost 2 years since I’ve been posting content here.

But over the last 6–7 months, I started noticing the same pattern again and again.

Every personal branding strategist is sharing the same advice:

– Optimise your profile
– Use TOF, MOF, BOF in your content
– Comment like your life depends on it

Stop it! Please.

Everyone already knows this.
Yes, even your ICPs are tired of hearing the same thing.

Every time I took a break from here, I wanted to come back and post something different.

But most of the time, I’d rather take another break than post more generic advice.

But I can’t keep doing that forever, right?

So around 2 months ago, I started filtering my feed.

- I began marking “Not interested” on posts that were sharing the same recycled AI advice.

- I started following people who actually share real experiences (like Niall Cleaver, Marvin Sangines, and a few others)

- I started connecting with the top tier people by commenting, DMing, interacting without using AI.

And most importantly…

I stopped following some generic LinkedIn rules (iykyk).

- Instead, I started focusing on sharing things that actually have value in the simplest way possible, so my ICPs can get it in one go.

- I also introduced content design into my services, because I realised I genuinely enjoy making visuals.    

(Right now I’m using Canva, and soon I’ll move to Figma as well)

The point is simple: bring your creativity out.

We’re humans.
We’re here to create, not to impress others using AI.

And if you’re doing this for buyers, let me tell you something:

Buyers don’t care how nicely written your post is.

Or how well-designed it looks.

If they can’t see the solution to their problem in your content, they won’t buy anyway.

So don’t ruin your creativity just to look perfect in front of imperfect humans.
