The little things of life are actually the great things.


Many people think that if you do not have plenty of money or you are not enjoying luxury, then you are not living in purpose. But that mindset is flawed.


Good health.

The gift of sleeping and waking up every day.

The grace to leave your house in the morning and return safely at night.


These are often treated as small things not significant enough to celebrate.

Let me tell you something:


If you see someone on a sick bed, you will appreciate good health.


If you see someone who depends on oxygen to breathe, you will appreciate the air you inhale freely at no cost.


When you leave your house in the morning and return safely in the evening, remember there are people who left and never came back.


This is not to mock anyone’s pain. It is simply to open your eyes to the significant blessings in your life that deserve gratitude.


This may not sound like a regular Monday post, but it is a charge: wear gratitude as you journey through this month.


May goodness and mercy follow you all through the days of March and beyond. Amen.

When Ade was a boy, he loved watching the palm wine tappers in his village.


He noticed how they climbed each tree, one careful step at a time.


One day, he asked a tapper, "Why don’t you just jump to the top to get the wine?"


The tapper smiled and said, "It's impossible to jump to the top. If I do, I will fall. So is it with every tapper. You can't skip the steps. If you do, you risk a fall. The climb might seem slow, but it’s the only way to get the wine safely."


Life is no different.


Everything you aspire to achieve in life requires taking careful steps, patience, consistency and effort.


Whether it’s building a career, nurturing relationships, or pursuing personal growth, there is no fast track.


Be careful and patient as you take each step, no matter how small, hoping it brings you closer to success.


Don’t rush it.


Don’t fast-track it when you know it is not ripe for reaping yet.


This is what you should do to bring yourself closer to success:


~ Be patient: True success takes time.

~ Stay consistent: Small, steady actions yield great results.

~ Embrace the journey: Growth happens along the way, not just at the top.


Doing this will help you stay on track and take your steps to success steadily.


There is no award for who arrives at the place of destiny earlier.

Little girl wants someone she would be able to share her feelings with 😀


Parents, stop making your children jealous of your spouse.


As humorous as this may sound, there is a lesson there for everyone.


Children want to feel loved.

They want your presence.

They want your attention.

Your time.

Your listening ears.

Your warm hugs.

Your reassurance.

Your involvement in their little big world.


They do not just want a provider.

They do not  just want rules.

They want you fully present.



And that is exactly what the little girl expressed in the video.


I hope you will not deny your child that.

Be careful who you trust your children with!


Raising kids who are well-protected and emotionally stable is becoming tougher in this generation. 


Parenting today takes intentionality and sacrifice, you can not just leave things to chance.


I recently saw a heartbreaking video where four siblings narrated how they were tricked with just a bunch of bananas and abused by their trusted neighbour. 


This is worrisome because there are many painful stories we can not even share on social media.


 Parents, we must be vigilant.

 We must set clear boundaries.

 And we must put structures in place to protect our children when we are not around.


Here is my question to you:


What is the best way parents can keep their children safe at home when they have to be away for work or other commitments?

Did you know children can sense toxicity faster than adults think? 


Yes, children can sense toxicity faster than adults think.


They may not know big grammar.


They may not understand manipulation but they feel energy.


A child knows the difference between correction done in love and correction done in anger.


They know when you are guiding them and when you are simply being wicked.


You may think, “She is just a child, she won’t understand.”


Oh, she understands more than you know.


~ Children read tones.
~ They read facial expressions.
~ They read consistency.
~ They read fairness.


When you correct a child with patience and genuine care, they may cry but they still feel safe with you.


But when correction comes with bitterness, humiliation, comparison, or constant intimidation, the child may become quiet and that quietness is not respect. It is emotional withdrawal.


And this applies everywhere at home, in school, in church, in extended family settings.


~ Be fair to every child.
~ Do not transfer aggression.
~ Do not show favoritism.
~ Do not discipline one child to impress another adult.


Children grow, but they do not easily forget how you made them feel.


~ Correct with love.
~ Lead with empathy.
Let every child around you feel safe, seen and valued.

Happy New Week of open doors and undeniable favour!

Children are going through a lot now.


From silent emotional torture to parental absenteeism.


To neglect and abandonment.


But let’s talk about the part we do not always see.


Many children are battling comparison in their own homes.

“Look at your mate.”
“Why can’t you be like your sister?”
“See your cousin’s result.”


Some are carrying the weight of expectations they never created. 


They are trying to be perfect so they won’t disappoint you.


Some are growing up in homes where parents are physically present but emotionally unavailable. Daddy is always busy. Mummy is always tired. 


Conversations are replaced with instructions. Corrections come without connection.


Some children are raising themselves with the internet. Learning about life from strangers because they cannot ask questions at home without being judged or shouted at.


Some are dealing with bullying in school but have decided to keep quiet because the last time they tried to explain something, they were told, “Stop that nonsense.”


Some are living in fear of making mistakes because every mistake becomes an insult, a label, or a reminder of their weaknesses.


And the most painful part?
Many of them have chosen silence.


Not because they do not want to talk.
But because the atmosphere at home is not safe enough for expression.


A child who cannot speak freely at home will speak freely outside. And outside is not always safe.


As parents, raising a total child goes beyond feeding, clothing and paying school fees.


To raise a total child:

~ Create a safe emotional space.
Let your child talk without fear of being mocked or dismissed. Listen first before correcting.

~ Separate correction from humiliation.
Discipline should build, not break.

~ Be emotionally available.
Ten minutes of undistracted conversation daily can change everything.

~ Stop unhealthy comparison.
Every child has a different strength. Discover it. Nurture it.

~ Apologize when you are wrong.
It teaches humility and models emotional maturity.

~ Watch for silent signs.
Withdrawal, sudden anger, unusual quietness, loss of interest, these are messages.


A total child is not just academically sound.

A total child is emotionally secure, mentally stable, spiritually guided and confident in their identity.


Let us not just raise successful children. Let us raise whole children.

In the next generation, we may have parents who no longer care about being present for their children and children who no longer expect their parents to be present.


Why?


Because what we are normalising today will become a pattern tomorrow.


We now have too many “emergency parents” people who entered parenthood unprepared emotionally, mentally and sometimes even financially. Parenthood happened to them; they did not grow into it.


And when you are not prepared, you parent by reaction, not by intention.


Work is demanding. Hustle is real. Bills must be paid. But many homes today are running on survival mode, not connection mode. 


Parents leave early, return exhausted, hand over a phone or tablet and call it bonding.

“I’m tired.”
“I’m busy.”
“Let me rest.”
“Go and watch something.”


Before you know it, the internet becomes the comforter.

Strangers become advisers.

Influencers become role models.

Peers become teachers.

And children learn very early not to disturb mummy or daddy.


Here is the painful part:

When a child repeatedly feels ignored, dismissed, or postponed, they do not stop needing attention, they just change where they look for it.


The future implication?


A child who grows up emotionally unattended may become a parent who does not know how to be emotionally available either.


The cycle continues.


What can we do differently?

• Be intentionally present, even if briefly.
Ten minutes of undistracted eye contact daily can build security.


• Create no-phone zones.
During meals. Before bedtime. During conversations.


• Ask deeper questions.
Not just “How was school?”
But “What made you happy today?”
“Did anything confuse or hurt you?”


• Prepare for parenting before and during it. Read. Learn. Unlearn. Heal. Seek counsel if needed.


• Model what you want to see.
If you want emotionally expressive children, be emotionally expressive.
If you want respectful children, speak respectfully.


Parenting is not about perfection.
It is about intention.


Let us not raise a generation that survives us but does not feel connected to us.


To every parent and potential parent reading this: slow down where you can. Look into their eyes. Listen beyond their words. Build now what you want to enjoy later.


The next generation is not forming tomorrow.


It is forming in our living rooms today.
