Key Contributions:

1. Marketing & Growth: Led the social media strategy, positioning Makers as the #1 most engaging LinkedIn page on entrepreneurship in LatAm and #2 in monthly organic growth. Grew the Instagram community from 200 to 1,100+ followers, driving over 100K organic impressions and attracting 770 applicants for the 3rd cohort.

2. Program Operations: Co-designed and facilitated 2 program cohorts featuring speakers from Thiel Fellowship, Latitud, Magma Partners, Daki, Google, and McKinsey.

3. Product & UX: Rebuilt and optimized the landing page to enhance applicant conversion and brand clarity.

4. Events & Partnerships: Supported the planning and execution of in-person events in partnership with BBVA Spark, Uniandinos, and Around.

5. Talent Placement: Participated in 700+ candidate evaluation (Business & Coding tracks) and helped place 12 fellows in top startups such as Vektor, Lizza, Balam, Endeavor, and Kalto.

6. Assisted in designing and initiating fundraising efforts for the new Builders Fellowship program, with advice from top founders of programs like the Thiel Fellowship, Z Fellows, and On Deck.

I had the privilege of learning from amazing people from the Engineering and Product areas.

Given the small size of the engineering team, we essentially functioned as full-stack engineers, responsible for developing features across both mobile and web platforms.

Projects to which I contributed include:

- Completely rebuilding our website using NextJS to enhance SEO from a technical standpoint
- Resolving payment issues related to Stripe and Apple subscriptions
- Customizing the onboarding process based on user metadata

I grew up in various small towns. At 18, I moved to Morelia, Michoacán, where I studied Electrical Engineering.

At 22, I began my first “real” job at Tata Consultancy Services, where I learned SQL and UNIX. A few months later, I worked as a construction laborer in Canada for three months.

At 23, somewhat by accident, I became a Software Engineer—first at National Western Life Insurance, then at Beek (YC W17).

At 25, I co-founded my first company, Trendi, which went through Platanus Ventures.

At 26, I worked alongside one of Rappi's co-founders in the Makers Fellowship, supporting over 300 aspiring and early-stage founders under 25.

At 27 - 28, I co-founded Torrenegra Organization with Alexander Torrenegra. We supported 105 companies across Latin America that collectively generate over $100M USD in annual revenue and have created more than 300 direct jobs.
