As a part of the tiny Content team at OSlash, I am responsible for managing the social media channels including LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. OSlash is an enterprise URL manager that makes accessing and sharing workplace links easier and faster by converting long URLs to human-readable, intuitive, memorable shortcuts.

The work involves coming up with a social strategy to get the channels up and running for the startup. In addition, I plan and execute campaigns to take the brand to the customers, on a day-to-day basis. I also lend a helping hand in creating other forms of content than social media posts, such as, blogs, website copy, and copy for online SaaS, engineering, startup communities on Quora, Facebook, Indie Hackers, etc.

The objectives at this stage include crafting a position for the unique enterprise URL manager that OSlash is, by creating brand awareness and developing a community around the product. To this end, we are employing a mix of content marketing and community building efforts.

We have grown to a family of roughly 3000 fans on an organic base without ad spends. Our launch video went viral with close to 100,000 views on LinkedIn, Twitter, and YouTube. Our launch was also covered in 45+ international publications.

I got to learn a lot about the Japanese culture and way of life in my limited interaction with the students, some of them 19 years old, some 90! I also improved my conversational skills.
