Being a timeline manager for “The Sacred Path of Love Conference” in 2014 enabled me to strengthen my time management skills.

The volunteer manager role for “The Sacred Path of Love Conference” in 2015 and 2016 made me realise the importance of befriending people in order to truly understand their deepest motivations.

Our programs in raising awareness about social issues like depression, anxiety, abuse and mental disorders through the VoiceOut Campaign 2017 enabled me to have a deeper sense of empathy and sensitivity in dealing with human behaviour.

Organizing “The Sacred Path of Love Conference” that annually garners about 200 people each year since 2014 helped me to adapt to new challenges that arise.

For my National Service as the Head Manpower, Admin and Logistics, I have been focusing on Agile principles and Scrum methodologies in the National Service work that I do. 

I specifically lead the Service & Support team and have implemented Scrum and Agile practices in our ways of working.

In a Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambigious  (VUCA) world, we need agile thinking in order to solve problems we don't even know exists.

4. Facilitating discussions with teams and enabling them to be self-managing teams with T-shaped skills.

I currently hold the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) for this National Service role. My current position as Head Manpower (NS) / Head Human Resources (NS), enables me to set up cross-functional teams as a Key Appointment Holder.

I employ an agile mindset favouring individuals and interactions over processes and tools as we strategise how to make the Service & Support team into a self-organizing one.
