I started writing cuz I wasn’t going to do dance trends on TikTok😀

Now, I write about actionable tips to break you into product management, my journey, lessons I learned along the way, the strategies that helped me and side projects I work on.

You may have guessed it, I'm a Product Manager at Microsoft. 

Most people start their day with a cup of coffee, but my day doesn't start if it didn't begin at the gym. 

My job as a PM is to identify a problem, ask annoying questions to understand it more and ask some more questions that help bring experiment-able ideas I can test for potential solutions.

It took me 2years to break into product management. But I believe there's a quicker path and that's why I share my story.

Virtual Human Resources Intern

• Maintained data integrity by regularly validating and updating customers online information within CRM tools thereby improving efficiency.

• Handled an average of 100+ calls per week, responded to emails and live chats, while maintaining a resolution rate of 90% and above. 

• Prepared detailed weekly reports, summarizing key achievements and future objectives of the team, and presented them during company town hall meetings.

• Collaborated with cross-functional teams including product, engineering and sales to improve the base fare on our mobile app by relaying feedbacks from customer which led to 10% increase in app usage.

• Reduced cancellation rate under 20% by implementing a fast and efficient communication strategy, leveraging on social media especially WhatsApp to reach out to riders in real time with trip details.

• Created an offline database for students records which improved the efficiency of students records management. 

• Maintained a high level of accuracy and efficiency in payroll processing, ensuring that all teachers and staff members were paid correctly and on time. 

• Worked closely with the school management to develop and effectively implement the following policies; Conflict Resolution, Attendance and Punctuality and Discipline Policy.

• Successfully organized and executed a variety of school events, including PTA meetings, quiz and debates competitions, and cultural day celebration.

• Developed a system for tracking and managing school supplies which reduced wastes and cost.

Administrative Officer

• Implemented engaging lessons in all topics  taught and provided extra help with assignments before and after school, which improved student knowledge retention and pass rate. 

• Promoted valuable skills such as leadership, presentation, vocational and teamwork etc. in students through extracurricular activities. 

• Collaborated with my colleagues in sharing ideas, resources and instructional strategies to improve teaching and learning experience.

• Coordinated students farm practical operations and oversaw the sales of some of the harvested produce, which significantly increased internally generated revenue in my department. 

• Contributed to the smooth running of the office operations, by providing administrative and clerical support.

• Worked closely with academic staffs to assist with class works and also supervised during tests and examinations.
