It’s a tale as old as time: man meets job, man climbs the career ladder, man fights burnout, man opens to possibilities, reconnect with himself and finds his true passion.  

I’m Jackson, an entrepreneur, leadership developer, wellness advocate, coach, mentor, father-of-three and consummate learner. After spending the last 20+ years of my career in the adhesives industry, leading the business and strategic rollout of distribution channels in Asia Pacific markets both established and new, I found myself yearning to be less of a human “doing”, and more of a human “being”.  

While I love being a businessman and entrepreneur, my approach to work has definitely become more sustainable over time, as I aligned my leadership style and career goals with my passion for wellness. I believe that we should all invest in our personal well-being, both physical and mental, because these make up the foundations of a good life and rewarding career!  

Meditation, mindfulness and mindset elevation are the tools that I use to strengthen my mental wellness, and adopting a giving mindset fuels my sustained contentment. I encourage all those who have the capacity to give to do so, because giving is the key to unlocking happiness, lasting contentment, and an incredibly fulfilling way to live and work.  

With these values as my guide, I live life everyday with increasing ease, flow and comfort.

𝐀 𝐃𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐨𝐚𝐥 𝐟𝐨𝐫 2026

It’s the 3rd week of January and I decided to ask ChatGPT a question. Based on how much you know me, what should I really work on in 2026 for my personal growth.

Instead, it pointed me inward to 6 areas I should work on myself: 

1. 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐩 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫-𝐟𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞
I’ve realised I often step in to fix, support, organise, and hold things together even when it’s not fully my responsibility. While it comes from care, it also quietly drains my energy. In 2026, I want to learn how to let others carry their own weight and trust that I don’t have to be everything for everyone.

2. 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐦𝐲 𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫-𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠
I tend to soften my “no” with long explanations because I worry about how others might feel. This year, I want to practise protecting my time and energy with more confidence, without guilt, and without needing to justify my limits.

3. 𝐔𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐞 𝐦𝐲 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐟𝐮𝐥
So much of my day to day is involve in helping, teaching, and contributing to human transformation. I need to be mindful to tell myself that my value doesn’t disappear when I’m resting or doing nothing. In 2026, I want to remind myself that I am worthy even when I am not producing.

4. 𝐒𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐦𝐲 𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦, 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐦𝐲 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐞
I can be busy even when my calendar looks “manageable.” This year, growth means listening to my body earlier, resting more intentionally, and creating space to feel calm, not just productive.

5. 𝐁𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭
Not every situation, problem, or person deserves my full emotional energy. In 2026, I want to choose more carefully where I place my attention, so that what truly matters gets the care it deserves.

6. 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐢𝐯𝐞, 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞
I’m comfortable being the one who supports others. But I too need to receive care, help, or support. This year, I want to open myself up to being supported too. 

I guess for this year, perhaps it is not about aiming for more milestones in life..

I’m giving myself the permission to feel lighter. 😆
