We've been testing Clay's Ads Beta integration and the match rates are at least 2x what we were getting before.

Here's what changed: instead of uploading just email addresses to LinkedIn and Meta, Clay pushes every relevant field to maximize matches.

First name, last name, company, job title, location, phone, work/personal email for Meta and LinkedIn. More data points, higher match rates.

We're now consistently hitting 90% on LinkedIn and 50-60% on Meta. But importantly, we're able to build incredibly targeted and rich lists with a very streamlined workflow for getting them into the ad platforms. 

The workflow is simple:
1. Build your ICP in Clay (company size, revenue, tech stack, job titles)
2. Enrich with multiple data sources to fill gaps
3. Push directly to your ad accounts
4. Clay syncs updates automatically

No more manual CSV exports. No more stale audience lists sitting in your ad accounts for months.

The audiences stay current because Clay refreshes them as new data comes in.

We're testing this across clients now. Early signals show lower CPLs and better conversion rates because we're actually reaching the people we built the list for instead of losing 60% of them to poor match rates.

Still in beta, so it's a WIP. But the core works, and it's saving us hours every week.

Excited to be joining Srikrishna Swaminathan from Factors.ai next week to talk about how ABM has actually evolved in 2026.

Most teams are still running ABM like it's 2019. Basic firmographic lists, spray and pray tactics, and hoping for the best. But the teams we work with at Understory are doing something completely different.

We're going to break down the modern ABM stack, how to layer in intent and signals beyond basic firmographics, and how tools like Clay can orchestrate the whole thing. I'll be sharing some real examples from clients and what we're seeing work (and what's not working) across 35+ B2B SaaS companies.

100 leads in one week at $3-10 each from Meta ads for a B2B vertical SaaS.

Miguel presented a masterclass on our weekly paid media team call last Friday breaking down exactly how we did it.

Most B2B companies avoid Meta because the targeting doesn't work. You can't filter by job title or company size like LinkedIn. So you burn budget on personal emails and unqualified garbage.

We solved it with third-party data audiences.

We used Clay and Metadata to build a 60,000 person list of architects and engineers at 0-100 person companies. Then fed that directly into Meta as a custom audience (not Advantage+ expansion).

The setup:
- Campaign objective: Leads
- Conversion: Instant Forms
- Creative: Content offers (salary benchmarks, templates, reports)
- Validation: Work emails only

Instant Forms removed friction. No landing page, auto-fill enabled. The creative showed exactly what people would get.

CPL went from $4 to $10 when we added work email validation, but lead quality jumped. The client was happier because qualified leads went straight into their SDR sequence instead of getting filtered out later.

The tooling: Clay and Metadata for audience building. Primer is another option worth testing.

What's next: We're segmenting by funnel stage. Top of funnel content crushed it, so now we're testing demo request CTAs for bottom of funnel. Plus nurturing campaigns for leads stuck mid-funnel.

The takeaway is simple. Meta works for B2B when you fix the targeting problem. Third-party data is how you do it.
