I manage Brainscape’s software quality assurance program, ensuring the delivery of a bug free learning and platform used by educators, lawyers, and healthcare professionals as well as commercial clients.  

Key highlights from my time here:

•I designed and built Braincase’s quality assurance program from scratch

•Pushing releases that have been 95% bug free since the launch of the new QA program

As a Software Quality Assurance Tester at ABLSoft, I supported the quality and functionality of a cloud-based financial services platform used by lending institutions around the globe.

Some of my day-to-day work involved: 

•Conducting manual functional and regression testing 

•Developing test plans, cases, and documentation in Google Docs, Sheets, and JIRA

•Integrating testing into an Agile software development environment

Software Quality Assurance Tester

Macquarie Offshore Services Pty Ltd.

I led quality assurance activities supporting the development of Macquarie Group’s internal client information database, a CRM-like platform that housed critical customer and operations data impacting the group and its subsidiaries in asset management, banking, financial services, and global markets. 

Some of my day-to-day work involved: 

•Engaging with senior business leaders through the requirements gathering phase 

•Steering a team of 4 software testers through an Agile development environment

•Developing testing suites and test management processes 

•Implementing manual testing including black-box functional, system, component, regression testing

Lead Software Tester

•	Performed Manual Blackbox Testing and bug fix validations for BAU releases and technical upgrades for the post trade web applications.

•	Identified bugs & documented them on JIRA.

•	Created and maintained Testing artifacts such as Test Suites, Test Cases and Test Scripts in Confluence, Testlink and HP Quality Center.

•	Participated in weekly QA team meetings reporting to the Team Lead.

•	Assisted Business Users with their User Acceptance testing by executing test trades on trading application and extracting post trade documents for their validation.

•	Established Regression Test Suite for TLM Reconciliations and Golden Source web application

•	Sent to Singapore in 2011 to meet post trade development team and for further application trainings.

•	Dedicated resource who conducted the preparations of Regression Testing project prior to its go-live.

•	Participated and conducted conference calls with onshore counterparts

•	Created and maintained test ware (cases, scripts, prerequisites, expected results, baseline data set, documentation, etc.)

•	Planned and co-ordinate regression test run: Arranged for migration of project files, refresh of baseline, backups/restores with member(s) of IS team 

•	Executed regression test runs

•	Logged and maintained defects and results into Quality Center

•	Analyzed results and created reports on progress of execution, results of execution and analysis of results to RT coordinator

•	Created proposal changes to test cases and/or test data after a change or project has migrated to production for approval by RT coordinator and applied them after approval

•	Extracted test cases from functional, technical design and/or system unit test cases for possible addition to regression test.

•	Created proposals for additional test cases for approval by RT coordinator 

•	Sent to Malaysia to perform knowledge transfer and prepare the new team that will be continuing the regression testing

•	Assisted Malaysia team in data adjustments for the regression testing environment for every change of year.

•	Appointed as a dedicated coordinator between the testing team and development team. 

•	Compiled all approved system test and uploaded them into the Mercury Quality Center

•	Assured that all system tests compiled are still applicable to the current system which will then make the system testing a centralized effort for everyone in the PeopleSoft team.

•	Created and customized PeopleCode, records, application engines, component interfaces, and online pages that serve as enhancements to the existing system of clients.

Always striving to keep my skillset current, I have acquired my ISTQB certification and recently completed the Full-stack Web Development boot camp at Lighthouse Labs.
