Think of it as Freelancer.com or Upwork, but with a curated team of highly skilled freelancers.

We aimed to solve the challenges commonly associated with content mills.

Our approach was simple: a talented team of writers could select projects based on their preference, eliminating the need for bidding and uncertain project allocation. For clients, it offered a hassle-free way to quickly order content while ensuring top-notch quality.

We had to shut this down as we couldn't crack the user acquisition strategy.

Hi, I’m Keyur, Founder & CEO at GrowedIn.

Let me share a quick story of how I got here.

Back when I was 16, I started writing on Quora. After 2 years, I landed my first writing gig.

Within a month, I was asked to build a team of writers for a project. While I enjoyed writing (and still do), there was something more exciting about building a team and managing the entire project.

In due course, I took charge of 90% of the content operations at the firm.

Then, in 2020, COVID hit. Most companies cut down on their marketing budget to almost nil. I had to now figure out whether to continue working with the firm or focus on academics and get a decent-paying job.

I did not want to work a 9-5, doing something that I didn’t enjoy. I wanted time freedom. I wanted to build something valuable.

Everyone was into building software, so I figured that was a quick way to make money. We built something that no one needed. The project was dropped a few months later.

As soon as we outsourced the production, we had to start making noise. LinkedIn was the best place. Within a month of posting consistently on LinkedIn, 2 things happened:

1. I ran out of ideas to write about our product.
2. I was starting to enjoy being active on LinkedIn.

I switched to writing about productivity and side-hustles instead. Around a month later, my LinkedIn account blew up. I went from 1000 followers to 7000+ followers in just a few weeks. 

It felt amazing.

Justin Welsh invited me to conduct a LinkedIn workshop for his community. I had to speak in front of 100+ entrepreneurs.

Everyone loved it and one of them reached out asking if I could write LinkedIn posts for him.

This was when I built GrowedIn.

A few months back, I had the chance to speak at the Growth Amplified series hosted by DSP Mutual Fund.

When Chirag first reached out, I remember feeling unsure. I was unsure if I could bring enough value to a completely new audience. It is one thing to speak to people who already know your work. It is very different when you walk into a room where you have to earn attention from the first minute.

But I am glad I agreed to do it.
 
The session turned out to be one of the most enjoyable experiences of my year. The questions were thoughtful, the conversations were honest, and the room had a level of curiosity that made the whole experience memorable.

Something I keep noticing in my own life, and in people around me, is this:

A lot of our “problems” are actually insecurities we do not want to look at.

We blame the job, the manager, the market, the city, the relationship.

But underneath, there is often something else:

- Fear of not being good enough
- Fear of being rejected
- Fear of being seen trying and failing

So we package these fears as “practical reasons” and keep moving.

Wrong role. Wrong boss. Wrong timing. Wrong industry. 

Sometimes that is true. Often, it is not.

Most of the time, the real issue is an insecurity we have not been honest about with ourselves.

It sits in the background and quietly shapes our choices, our reactions, and the limits we place on our own life.

The hard part is not fixing everything.
The hard part is naming it.

Saying to yourself, very plainly:
“I am not taking this risk because I am scared of looking stupid.”
“I am staying in this place because I am scared I will not find better.”
“I am avoiding this conversation because I am scared of conflict.”

Once you name it, the problem stops being this big, vague cloud. It becomes something you can work with.

You may still choose the safer option. You may still hold back.

But at least now you know why. And from that place, change is possible.

Most of our life opens up the moment we are willing to be honest about what we are insecure about.

A lot of people feel unhappy because they expect to have time, money, and energy all at once. It sounds ideal, but in reality, these three rarely show up in the same season of life.

In the early years, most of your progress comes from trading time for money. You put in long hours, learn fast, take on more than your job description, and slowly build leverage. This stage feels tiring, but it is necessary.

If you do that stage well, you eventually earn the ability to use money to buy back your time. You can delegate more, automate more, and choose better opportunities. Life becomes less reactive and more intentional.

When you make that transition early enough, something important happens. You still have the energy to use your time well. You are not burnt out, cynical, or drained. You’re able to think clearly, create, take risks, and build with purpose.

Having time, money, and energy at the same time is rare. Most people never experience all three together, and when they do, it often lasts only for a short window.

If you’re in that window today, even briefly, acknowledge it. It means you’ve played the early stages well, and you’ve earned a place most people never reach.

If you’re not, keep going. The sequence takes time, but it works.

We are moving into a world where soft skills are becoming the real differentiators.

Not because technical work is going away, but because more of it is slowly being handled by AI. The tools keep improving, and what once needed deep technical muscle is now becoming far more accessible.

What cannot be automated is how you think, how you communicate, and how you work with people. Customer experience, communication, and original thinking are becoming the core skills for almost every role. In the future, most jobs will feel client facing in one way or another.

I speak with a lot of candidates, and something I notice again and again is this. Many are good at their craft. But the ones who truly stand out are the ones who can explain ideas clearly, think creatively, ask better questions, and collaborate without ego.

These are the people who will thrive. They make teams better. They make customers feel understood. They help ideas move from draft to reality.

The opposite is also true. If someone relies only on technical skill and ignores communication, presentation, or independent thinking, it becomes harder for them to grow. Being great at the work is not enough if others cannot understand it or work with it.

The future belongs to people who can do the work and also articulate the work. 

People who can think clearly, speak clearly, and create great customer experiences while doing it. People who can build and collaborate.

The combination is where real leverage comes from.

There is always a quiet expectation people carry about you. They may not say it, but they have a sense of how you work and what you will deliver. Everyone sets a baseline in their mind.

Most people simply meet that baseline. They do what is expected and stop. It is safe and familiar.

But the real impact comes from the small space above that line. The extra clarity in your work, the thoughtfulness you add, the follow-through that makes someone else’s job easier. These small things shift how people experience you.

In business, that gap builds trust. When you consistently deliver slightly more than expected, clients remember. Partners rely on you without hesitation. Trust grows in the margins.

In leadership, that gap builds respect. Preparation, steady judgment, and taking responsibility before you are asked change how people see you. Respect is formed in the details.

In relationships, that same gap builds goodwill. Showing up a little more fully, listening a little longer, being present when it matters. These moments stay with people.

The extra does not have to be dramatic. It just needs to be consistent. That small gap between expected and delivered becomes your advantage. It shapes your reputation more than almost anything else.

The baseline is what people assume you will do. The extra is what they never forget.

A few weeks back, I picked up Built to Sell by John Warrillow after Abhijeet Mukherjee mentioned it in one of his comments on someone’s post.

Finished it last week, and it turned out to be one of the most refreshing reads I’ve had in a long time. 

Simple ideas, sharp thinking, and very real lessons on how to build a business that can actually scale.

A few things that stayed with me:

- A business becomes valuable only when it can run without you.
- Focus is a strength. Specialisation creates clarity and demand.
- Offering everything to everyone quietly destroys your positioning.
- Repeatable systems beat hero-driven execution every single time.
- Say no more often so you can say yes to the right work.
- You are not building a job. You are building an asset.

And honestly, the biggest lesson here might be this:

Pay attention to book recommendations from people you trust. They often know exactly what you should read before you do. :)

One of the most useful traits you can build over time is the ability to think and act logically instead of emotionally.

So many of the mistakes we make in life come from the two extremes we do not notice in the moment: being too excited or being too anxious.

When you are excited, everything looks like an opportunity.
You overcommit, you say yes too fast, you underestimate the cost.

When you are anxious, everything looks like a threat.
You hesitate, you avoid, you talk yourself out of things that could have helped you grow.

Neither state is a good place to make decisions from.

Learning to pause, slow down, and look at the situation without the emotional noise is a skill that pays you for the rest of your life.

Your clarity improves.
Your decisions get better.
Your outcomes get better.

Logic does not remove emotion. It just stops emotion from running the whole show.
