As CAO I have a dual role: I act as the building principal/manager of a 49 person staff doing all the work that a "traditional" building principal does; the second role is much like a superintendent/private school headmaster as i must interact twice monthly in an official capacity with the school board, and do strategic planning that encompasses school growth both academically and physically.

After 44+ years of school (Montessori at 3, until the start up project in Antigua Guatemala last year), I took a year off before the next 20+ year phase of my career commenced. I traveled to Venezuela, the Middle East, and spent many months between Italy and the US with family and friends. The capstone of the year was walking the Santiago Trail in northern Spain...an 800+ km walk across the country from the foothills of the Pyrenees in France, to Santiago di Compostella and then on to Finesterre on the far Atlantic coast of Spain. 30 days walking, thinking, meeting and making friends, and preparing for my next job at York Academy.

I am currently in charge of all admissions from enquiries through to pupil admission and beyond, including conducting personal tours for prospective parents, organising open mornings and school events. In addition to being front of house, office manager and running a very busy school office. I am the ISAMS administrator, fully first aid trained, with excellent people skills. I am also responsible for our social media. I have worked at the school for over 13 years and love what I do. I am personable and professional and really enjoy all aspects of my job.
