As CAO I have a dual role: I act as the building principal/manager of a 49 person staff doing all the work that a "traditional" building principal does; the second role is much like a superintendent/private school headmaster as i must interact twice monthly in an official capacity with the school board, and do strategic planning that encompasses school growth both academically and physically.

After 44+ years of school (Montessori at 3, until the start up project in Antigua Guatemala last year), I took a year off before the next 20+ year phase of my career commenced. I traveled to Venezuela, the Middle East, and spent many months between Italy and the US with family and friends. The capstone of the year was walking the Santiago Trail in northern Spain...an 800+ km walk across the country from the foothills of the Pyrenees in France, to Santiago di Compostella and then on to Finesterre on the far Atlantic coast of Spain. 30 days walking, thinking, meeting and making friends, and preparing for my next job at York Academy.

I have successfully progressed in my career, advancing to challenging positions in the teaching field. My background includes I’m an English class teacher and elocution teacher and that has allowed me to master leadership, control classroom skills and also teaching for Early Years in British Cirruculum with excellent command in native English. I have extensive knowledge and set of skills to teach children in the British curriculum. The set of skills and knowledge I have acquired over the years of teaching has helped me and the children enjoy each other’s company and make teaching a very fun filled activity with my touch of educating children. I have immense pleasure in teaching early years and the primary grades. I strongly believe the foundation lays the base for a good education and instill good intentions and interest to pursue education in a more joyful way. My teaching methods are very child-led approach, inventive and focus more on play based rather than text book. And I perform well under pressure and I believe I have what it takes to teach a room of young fresh minds..
