Flexibility in creating our custom solutions has been a staple in our approach. During our own growth, we recognized that the traditional fulfillment models for recruiting service are deeply flawed. 

Contingent Search is expensive and the two-sided lack of commitment often yields poor results. Recruitment Process Outsourcing suffers from poor fulfillment; flat-rate service means providers have no skin in the game to maximize the end result. And traditional Executive Retained Search is exorbitantly overpriced, tone-deaf to the modern world of freely available data.

Oh how I’ve missed some late night sourcing…

You know:
Favorite tuned playing,
Searching and reviewing profiles
Going down rabbit holes
Kids sleeping
Playing around with a few AI agents… (it is 2025 after all…

And then around 10:33pm… boom.

You find that candidate you HAVE to talk to.

You know who you are.

😉

All the real recruiters get it.

But what makes a great recruiter?

I’ve put together a shortlist:

1. The ability to listen to hiring managers and consult, push back, and guide them.

2. Being able to scope out potential and talent NOT found on a resume.

3. Managing expectations with candidates, hiring managers throughout the process.

4. Managing sourcing and Inbound to keep a healthy pipeline for managers to interview.

5. Offering a point of view on a candidate, not just being an order taker.

6. Remaining calm under pressure when things don’t go according to “plan”

7. Always having a strategy to find and engage candidates.

8. Not ghosting and treating candidates with respect.

9. Learning new tech and implementing it into a recruitment system.

10. Getting creative with sourcing, messaging, and outreach.

What did I miss my recruiter friends?

Recruiting Truth:

Recruiting is 90% timing,

10% expectation setting

And 100% a roller coaster.

When the recruiter and hiring manager are on the same page:

Never forget, hiring is a team sport.

Don't judge…

Always support and have empathy.

You never know what could happen.

Act accordingly
