Bought by Oracle in 2016, Opower was an American startup that created a new market category, bringing AI and behavioral science to shape energy consumption of households. Since its inception, Opower has saved 31 TWh of energy and accompanied over 175 utilities.  

I fully owned the go to market strategy for Opower solutions for the EMEA region and localized global marketing efforts. I was responsible for developing product positioning, informing product development strategy, conducting market research, developing go-to-market and pipeline growth strategies, creating sales and marketing content, and driving sales enablement efforts.

New Climate Economy Project

New Climate Economy is a major international initiative examining how countries can achieve economic growth while dealing with the risks posed by climate change. We work with a number of international institutions, including the World Bank, OECD and IMF, and are represented by CEOs and governmental ministers from various countries.

I co-authored a number of high-impact publications on climate change, sustainable economy and energy pricing with leading institutions, thought leaders and scientists, including Lord Stern, and provided briefings for ministers and CEOs for their public engagements.

Senior Customer Marketing Manager

If I were a candy, I'd be a Mars Bar. Not because I like eating them (in fact I might be one of the few people who don't like chocolate) - but because I'd often jokingly say I'm from Mars. Here's why:

Having lived in multiple countries my whole life, the question "where are you from" is not an easy one to answer. Is it Hong Kong? Australia? Shanghai? Or New York? You can imagine why I'd reply "Mars" just so I can avoid going into a deep dive into my personal relocation history.

All jokes aside, I love my identity as a global citizen - having grown up in multiple countries, I have an affinity for exploring and understanding different cultures. The same translates to my career - I love understanding why people do what they do, and in turn, making a deeper connection with them. That is why I love customer marketing. What messaging makes the most impact to customers? How can we improve customer experience? These are the questions that I love to answer.

Since starting my customer marketing role at Pendo, I've grown a passion for maximizing in-product strategies. I love seeing what other SaaS companies do across in-app and email for onboarding, expansion, and retention!
