A bit about me: I started my first e-commerce company when I was 23. Back then, it was selling baby gates and barn door hardware across a couple Etsy shops and on Amazon. While continuing to grow my e-commerce business on the side I got a job as a sourcing manager at a distribution company to learn more about high level supply chain with major retailers (HSN, QVC, Walmart, etc.). 

Years later, after helping countless DTC brand optimize their supply chain through running Made-in-China's sourcing division, I noticed major issues in the way e-commerce companies used software in operations. I built and sold an RFQ management system that helped DTC brands optimize their purchasing.  Then, I moved on and became a CEO of a DTC brand at 28. My experience running Qualtry showed even more the gap in the market of software solutions in e-commerce that address the entire supply chain.

Halo Freeze Dry

Humanitarian venture with a long-term vision to help address two global issues: waste in edible foods and world hunger. 

We won audience choice award and Best Product award in the Ballard Center and the Social Venture Academy

We used grant money to tour the largest freeze dry facility in the US and also launched a pilot campaign in large grocery chain to determine if the technology was ready to scale. 

We also conducted research with the 2nd largest  apple farm in Washington State to test the viability of Freeze Dry technology as a method of preserving excess food before it spoils. 

We concluded the next step towards scaling this methodology is to bring down the manufacturing costs of large scale machines and integrate in solar power to place these food saving machines on farms all across the planet. 

Our primary goal after creating the necessary tech is to create a turn-key process that communities can follow to sustainably preserve their excess food, provide jobs and avoid the continued waste and hunger rampant throughout the world.
