Developing and maintaining a hybrid demo infrastructure powered by over 300 hosts. The demo environment was actively monitored by PRTG, and our sales and presales representatives used it to showcase the product in webinars, demos, meetings, and events. My goal was to ensure it operated smoothly without any hiccups.

I also delivered hands-on training for presales and sales teams on various technologies, empowering them to effectively position monitoring solutions for specific targets to channels and customers.

Nested virtualization saved me hundreds of bucks! 💸

Stop waiting to buy "the right equipment." Please.

(Spoiler: Intel & Asus eventually sponsored my lab, but you don't need that to get started.)

But that's not the message behind this post.

Most people think you need multiple physical machines to: 
→ Test different hypervisors 
→ Run container environments 
→ Build a proper home lab

Wrong.
Nested virtualization changes everything.

Here's the problem most people face:
You have ONE physical server running Hyper-V. 
You want to test Proxmox (everyone's talking about it).

Your options?  
❌ Install Proxmox directly → Wipes out your existing VMs.
❌ Buy new hardware → Costs hundreds of dollars.
❌ Wait until "someday" → Never happens.

Now do this: 
→ Enable nested virtualization on your Hyper-V. 
→ Spin up Proxmox as a VM.
→ Test it

This is perfect if you're:
→ Testing and learning new products 
→ Building a home lab on a budget
→ Creating content about it

Keep in mind:
⚠️ Not for the production environment.

Here’s the truth.

No AI, no automation, no ghostwriter.

It’s really me.

I don’t live on LinkedIn all day, but there’s this small feature on smartphones called “notifications.”

Whenever one pops up and I’m not in the middle of something important, I reply.

Why?
- Because I actually care.
Every message, every comment, every tag means someone took a moment out of their day to connect.

That deserves my attention.
And honestly, everything I do here is intentional.

I follow people, pages and topics that actually matter to me.
Even when a “live session started” notification pops up from someone’s connection, I still check it.

I’m just curious.
- Always learning.
- Always watching how the market moves.

That’s how you stay close to what’s really happening.

There’s usually one reason why you don’t close enough deals.


Most people rush through meetings like it’s a speed date with their own ego.

“This is who we are. This is what we do. These are our results.”

Sounds impressive on paper.

But the client doesn’t care about your story until they feel you understand theirs.

If you spend the whole call pitching yourself, you miss the only thing that matters: them.

Here’s how to flip it:
- Ask about their current situation
- Ask what they’ve tried so far
- Ask what’s holding them back
- And actually listen

When people feel seen and heard, they open up.
When they open up, you uncover real problems.
When you uncover real problems, closing becomes effortless.

Stop rushing to talk.
Start being curious.

You’ll be shocked how much smoother, easier and more fun sales becomes when the focus shifts from selling to understanding.

Because in the end, people don’t buy from the best salesperson.

They buy from the one who truly gives a damn.

The LinkedIn outreach game changed from "spray and pray" to "intent outreach"!

Old playbook:
“Send 500 messages and hope someone replies.”

New playbook:
“Talk to people who already showed intent.”

Intent outreach isn’t about scripts.
It’s about timing.

You just need to be relevant.

Intent = the new personalization.
Relevance = the new ROI.

I stopped saying yes to commission-only deals the moment I realized this 1 harsh truth.

Lately we’ve been getting more and more messages that start with: 
“Hey, we’d love to work with you, but only on commission.” 

Which basically means: work for free until we make money. 

It’s crazy how normal that sounds to some people. 

But here’s a simple question:
"Would you ever give your own service or product away for free until your client becomes profitable with it?" 

Exactly. 

Partnerships don’t work when one side carries all the risk. 

Real growth happens when both sides are invested. 

When there’s trust, accountability and skin in the game from both. 

If you truly believe in your offer, you wouldn’t expect someone else to gamble their time and energy on it for free. 

That’s not business. That’s wishful thinking. 

So I’m curious, what do you think about commission-only deals? 
Do they ever really work long term?
