Zachary Handshoe of SpatialGen joined This Week in Startups to talk about building the “spatial cloud” that will one day power streaming video for immersive AR and VR devices (like Apple’s Vision Pro X).
While today, the company has a “champagne customer base” — the kinds of early adopters and wealthy elites who can afford Cupertino’s costly headsets — it won’t be long before many more people are eager to experience the thrill of live 16K immersive video.

That’s why I was eager to invest in SpatialGen, and praise Zachary Handshoe for building today what his customers are going to love tomorrow.

Why I Invested in the Reg CF Crowd SAFE:

1. Black Woman Founder. Black women are the biggest business owner demographic in America and will want to look the part.
2. Closest demo understanding of the need - wife owns several “nude colored” shoes that are outfit agnostic everywhere from casual coffee with friends to galas we attend.
3. Thoughtfully sustainable distribution/product model - no shoe gets dyed until an order is placed, reducing necessary inventory on hand drastically. This saves on necessary storage space and wasted inventory.
4. Plain tangential curiosity - trying out Republic’s UX/UI and wanted to give myself a good reason to explore the investment product, platform, and community as (1) an ascending product manager and (2) an advocate for more people left out of the private markets to explore paths to early investing.

The Fellows that are selected to participate have established records of accomplishment in promoting innovation and positive change in their organizations, institutions, communities, and countries.

I developed and initiated cross-cultural partnership between this fellowship at the University of Iowa and non-profit orgs in Iowa, empowering social entrepreneurship and community service experiential learning.

Also mentored the fellows in technical enablement, relationship development and market penetration intra-continentally.
