The Asian American Man Study

The Asian American Man Study a national survey of the experiences and beliefs of American men of East, Southeast, and South Asian descent. Our findings have appeared in The Atlantic, NBC Asian America, Vox, and Quartz, and has reached over 100,000 people on Medium. Over 1000 Asian men have been surveyed since our founding in 2015.

Hi, I'm Jason. I'm an executive coach to outliers & organizations facing hard pivots.

I am an entrepreneurial company builder with experience founding and scaling new ventures. I apply the lenses of commercial strategy, finance, and operations to help visionary companies grow and flourish.

I most recently led Business Development & Strategy for Sora Fuel, which is developing technology to produce synthetic aviation fuel from just air, water, and electricity. 

Previously, I was at Form Energy, a company commercializing and manufacturing a new class of multi-day energy storage. Founded in 2017 to accelerate the transition to a sustainable and reliable electric grid, Form has raised over $1.2 billion to-date from leading investors and has projects underway with leading utilities across the United States.

As Form’s 2nd finance hire, I helped drive Form's scale-up as the company grew quickly from a 60-person Series B R&D startup to a 700+ person Series E manufacturing company. Over time, I became "finance special ops," supporting the exec team with business critical efforts. Among them: the buildout of Form's half-million sq.ft. battery factory, securing a $290M incentive package from the State of WV to finance its construction, and project leadership for over $1.4B of non-dilutive funding applications.

I came to Form from Breakthrough Energy Ventures, a $3.5B VC fund launched by Bill Gates to invest in and scale up climate innovations. 

I earned my MBA at Wharton, with a concentration in Business, Energy, Environment and Sustainability. I was active on campus, including as founder of Climate Leaders @ Penn, a graduate student fellowship focused on interdisciplinary climate education and community.
