👉 What I did in this role:

→ Dived right into content creation. Each piece I wrote wasn't to fill space – it was to grab and turn our audience's attention into action.

→ Handled social media marketing (almost) like a pro. I turned our social pages into places where people visited, engaged and connected.

→ Focused big time on community building. It wasn't about posting stuff, it was about starting real conversations and building relationships. It was about brewing emotion with content around our social media pages.

July 2017, the heart of India's startup ecosystem and there I was, fresh-faced and eager to dive into the world of innovative minds.

So, what was I up to? Imagine chatting with over 100 startup founders from all over India. 

Yep, you read that right! 

I was the guy asking the questions, digging into their stories and, oh boy, it was like having a front-row seat to the coolest entrepreneurial show in town.

But wait, it wasn't about the chit-chat. 

I was juggling a bunch of hats – editing videos until they were just perfect, penning down blogs that felt like stories rather than articles, and playing around with YouTube and LinkedIn to get our content out there. 

It was all about striking the right chords with our audience, you know?

In a nutshell, my time at High On Startup was like being in the driver’s seat of a supercharged content machine. 

From hosting interviews to hitting 'publish' on social media, it was a roller-coaster two months where I learned a ton and probably drank way too much coffee!

Fast forward to today, and those experiences are like little gems in my pocket, constantly reminding me how cool and unpredictable the world of startups is. And hey, who knows where the next adventure lies?

So, that's my story! From interviewing founders to spinning content magic – it's been one heck of a ride.

Back in 2017, I jumped into the marketing world with an internship at Denziti Media. 

2 months in Gurgaon and I was all about social media, content and building community. 

It was like playing in a digital sandbox, except this one was all about strategy and creativity.

My days were jam-packed with content creation. But this wasn’t any content. 

It was the kind that gets people talking, the kind that gets people excited about a brand. 

We were building a community from scratch and I was right in the thick of it.

There my role went way beyond the typical intern chores. 

I was part of the creative storm, brainstorming ideas and helping craft campaigns that resonated with our audience. 

It was all about making that emotional connection through social media – turning followers into a close-knit community.

Creating content was more than just a task, it was about weaving stories that people could relate to, stories that made them stop scrolling and start engaging. 

From analyzing market trends to getting hands-on with event management, every day was a new lesson in how to make social media work for you.

What I loved most? This wasn’t your sit-back-and-watch kind of internship. 

I was right there, in the mix, tossing ideas around and watching them come to life. 

It was a crash course in the art of digital marketing – understanding how content and community go hand-in-hand.

Looking back, those 2 months at Denziti Media were more than an internship. 

They were the foundation of my understanding of the digital world. 

Lessons in content creation, community engagement and the sheer power of social media have stayed with me ever since.

Hi, I’m Jatin, a community builder by profession and a content guy from the heart.

Ever since my childhood (literally, like when I was 12 years old), I started a debate club. Back then, I got 8 students from my class and a total of 14 students from other sections together to debate on motions like - THBT ozone layer depletion is a man-made disaster in the making. Trust me, those days this is all we used to talk about.

However, I fell in love with content and community building later when I started, Kuch Bhi Reviews - a YouTube channel. I, along with 2 of my friends, was successful in growing it to 3K+ community members that lead to 200K+ views in a year’s time on the YouTube channel. 

It was great learning that helped me understand the power of doing things together! 

Along with this, I kept participating in debate competitions across the country and got a chance to meet phenomenal speakers. It is when I enjoyed the most being a part of a community. 

In 2016, I decided to do my first internship. Where I got a chance to meet 100+ startup founders PAN India, I interviewed them for a digital marketing agency, Denziti Media under their project, High on Startup.

After such a crazy internship, I was pushed to take up a job but I hadn’t quite figured it out then. So, I joined an internship program in leadership hiring an executive recruitment firm, Crescendo Global Services to understand the recruiter mindset and market demand. Thankfully, I was able to get the answers I was looking for from this internship. 

Finally, I explored the community piece properly with CoHo, one of the 1st coliving brands of India. The journey with them was insightfully ecstatic. I curated over 250+ experiences in less than a year. Met so many people in these events and got to know countless beautiful stories.

I moved to Housr with an intent to build MEGA communities and have been exceedingly happy since then. Housr is India’s 1st MEGA coliving brand that means there are over 500 members living together in one establishment. Now, that’s what I’m talking about!

My true strength lies in my ability to celebrate the victory of another. Trust me when I tell you this, I wasn’t born with it. I had to learn it. If you’d like to know what I’m talking about then a cup of coffee is what I’d like to get with you.

I build personal brands for CEOs, VCs & founders

I learned the biggest lesson from an Uber driver at 1:30pm.

I was on my way to TechSparks that afternoon, sitting in the backseat of an Uber, mentally rehearsing what I wanted to say on stage. I must’ve looked a little tense because the driver quietly reached into his door pocket, pulled out a Bisleri bottle and handed it to me without saying a word. 

A few minutes later, we got stuck at a long red light. A woman walked up to the car asking for money. I didn’t have the energy to deal with anything, so I looked away and pretended to be busy on my phone. The driver didn’t do that. He rolled down the window and gave her a purple 50-50 biscuit packet he had in the car.

I thought that was it... but then an older woman came at the next red light.

Before I could even think what he would do, he reached into the dashboard, pulled out a packet of JimJam and gave it to her.

By the time we reached my venue, the bill was ₹1100.

I paid him ₹1,250.

As someone who grew up in India, tipping is not my default setting... but that afternoon, it didn’t even feel like “tipping.” It felt like the natural response to someone whose behaviour made an impression on me.

And this is exactly the point I want to make. 
People keep asking how to build a personal brand.
Most think it starts with content. Or a strategy. Or better hooks.

But sitting in that Uber, watching this man repeat the same small acts of kindness with three different people and expecting nothing back, goes to say: 

Your personal brand is not built on LinkedIn.
It’s built in your default behaviour.

Not the PR trained version you show when the camera is on.
The one that comes out when you’re tired or distracted.
The one you repeat without thinking strategy.

Because reputation is a direct result of those tiny patterns you don’t even realise people are noticing.

The only reason people will trust you (online or offline) is because your behaviour matches your words, every single time.

The best investor in the world, Warren Buffett, didn’t take an online course on value investing.

The best body transformation story in India, Ankit Baiyanpuria, didn’t take a ₹50,000 fitness program.

The best language learners in the world, immigrants, didn’t take Duolingo’s 365-day streak challenge.

The best coders, the ones who built early Google, Facebook, PayPal, didn’t take a 40-hour “Full Stack Bootcamp”.

The best filmmakers, Nolan, Rajkumar Hirani, Tarantino, didn’t take a Masterclass subscription.

The best salespeople, actual closers in the field, didn’t take a ₹4999 “High-ticket sales” course.

The best editors in India right now, half of YouTube, didn’t learn from a structured curriculum.

If you genuinely want to learn something, you will.

With or without FITTR.
With or without Duolingo.
With or without Coursera.
With or without Teachable.
With or without a guru shouting “10x” into your face.

People think the course will replace the effort.
It never does. It never has. It never will.

When the desire is real, you don’t wait for the “right course”.
You just start... and that’s why the ones who succeed,
would have succeeded anyway.

It felt wrong today.

I don’t know how else to say this.

I reached IGI around 6:30am, stepped outside, and the first breath I took was cold and dusty and honestly a little painful. 

A friend was driving to pick me up. She called on the way, didn’t even bother with a “hello.” She coughed into the phone - that rough Delhi winter cough you hear everywhere but pretend isn’t a problem.

I asked if she was fine.

She sounded irritated in that “don’t ask me stupid questions” way and said, “My eyes are burning. I can’t even see the road properly.”

I told her she shouldn’t have come, I could’ve taken an uber.

She laughed, not because it was funny, but because sometimes you laugh when you’re trying not to think about how bad things actually are.

We reached her flat and she told me what her manager said, “come to office unless it gets worse.”

Bro… what is “worse”?

Chest tightening after two breaths?
Coughing until blood comes out?
Or collapsing at the damn gate?
 
I don’t know how to explain this but it actually makes me angry - how normal everyone is about it.

We wake up with dusty, bitter taste in our mouth, our throats burn the moment we step outside... and still… still… companies act like breathing is optional.

Maybe I sound angry, I probably am, but this is ridiculous. People are hurting and acting like they aren’t because companies know the air is toxic and still say, “see you at 9am.”

It’s insane we’re even talking about this like it’s a minor inconvenience.

Nobody should risk their health to prove something at work.

We need to treat air pollution like we treated Covid.

Anyway… we are remote and we are hiring.

I read a longevity post today that said:

“I’m not sharing this as a CEO, but as a fellow human…”

Followed by a “gravity causes aging” hypothesis, big science quotes and a beautifully designed PDF.

Interesting idea... but this is a pattern I’ve seen before (and founders know this):

When a company publishes a theory this polished, it's not sharing curiosity, they’re preparing a category.

You don’t spend 2 years “trying to disprove” a hypothesis, bring in Harvard & Salk quotes, design a 24-page studio-grade deck, and brand it under a company... unless there’s a product on the way.

It’s classic Silicon Valley playbook.

Create the belief → Create the category → Create the product.

But the part that bothered me is simple:

We haven’t fundamentally changed how humans age.
We’ve only stopped them from dying early.

People live longer today because of:

☑ vaccines
☑ sanitation
☑ antibiotics
☑ fewer deaths in childhood + childbirth

Not because we slowed aging.

The real levers of health-span (the years you live well) have not changed at all.

They still come from things no one can monetise:

☑ home-cooked food over app-delivered meals
☑ stress that is not outsourced to caffeine
☑ sleep that does not need a tracker
☑ sunlight, walking, lifting things
☑ less “biohacking gadgets”
☑ more “basic routines”

There’s no device, angle table, or micro-gravity simulation that replaces dal-chawal and discipline.

Founders will always build new markets - that’s the game, but as consumers, we should separate good storytelling, from good science, and excitement from evidence.

Today’s news from my daughter’s school, she told me in one big, loud burst:
“Mumy, our class fan sparked for a split second! There was fire and the whole school screamed like we were in a horror movie!”
But the teachers jumped into action like superheroes.
The whole school was evacuated in minutes.
The issue was fixed in 15 minutes flat.
She said all this in about 10 seconds, breathlessly. Like Aaj tak news.

Then I reacted like Daya of Tarak Mehta, he ma , mataji, He Bhagvan, thank you, mari dikari ok che.” Hassh. 

Suddenly she changed her tone completely:
“But muma… we were expecting a free class or a holiday. But within 10 minutes, we were back in class. Isn’t that unfair?”

And then its my turn to shut up. Reason.....
She don’t fear sparks.  She fear missed holidays.

Danger level: 1
Drama level: 100
Disappointment level (because school resumed): 1000

I know, adulthood teaches responsibility, but Childhood teaches priorities in more sense. and according to my kid, the only real crisis was this:
“They fixed it too fast.”

 “I don’t want to do SEO on my website or anywhere else.

I paused for a second. Then I smiled.
Because that question sums up exactly where we are right now,
standing between the old rules of visibility and the new ones being written by AI.

So I told him this:
I'm not selling SEO tricks.
I am creating and establishing a survival skill for the next era of content visibility.

The world we knew , the one where “ranking” meant success is quietly disappearing.
AI doesn’t scroll. It doesn’t click. It answers.
And in that shift, the rules have changed.
No keyword stuffing. No chasing positions.

Now it’s about how useful, trustworthy, and contextually rich your content is  to both people and machines.

Brands and People that understand this early will lead the next visibility wave.
Those that don’t will keep chasing metrics that no longer matter.

So if you’re creating today, create with clarity, not compliance.
Don’t ask, “How do I rank?”
Ask, “How do I stay visible when ranking disappears?”
That’s not a trick.
That’s a survival skill.

Yesterday, not just yesterday, but many times, I’ve been asked one question.
And today, I’m finally sharing my answer. Yes, you can correct me if I’m wrong.

Are Degrees Important for a Content Writer?

Many people ask me, will you understand our product, process, or people?
So here’s my answer to all of you. I know I’m not a writer by degree, I’m a writer by passion. Maybe a degree can open doors, but it can’t teach you how to hold someone’s attention.  It can’t teach you rhythm, empathy, or the art of making words feel human.

Similarly, a degree might teach you how to write, but it’ll never teach you what’s worth writing. I’ve seen many people who are far more qualified than me, maybe they know grammar, structure, and storytelling frameworks better than I do,  but not how to make someone stop scrolling and feel something.

Because real writing doesn’t live in textbooks. It lives in curiosity. 
In the way you observe people.
In how deeply you listen before you type a single word.

The best writers don’t just know how to write well,
they feel what should be written.

As we all know, education gives you the foundation, 
but experience is the pulse.

Real writers read the silence in between.
They understand how people think, buy, dream, and doubt.
And no degree in the world can measure that instinct.

And if you look back, 
Shakespeare never had a formal degree, yet he defined storytelling for centuries. 

Tagore walked away from formal schooling, yet became India’s poetic soul. 

Premchand never held a literature degree, yet his words shaped our social conscience.

Mark Twain left school at 12, but his words became the conscience of America.

Charles Dickens had no university education, yet he shaped human empathy through fiction.

R.K. Narayan turned ordinary moments into timeless stories without a formal writing background.

Even Maya Angelou, who never went to college, wrote verses that healed generations.

They all wrote not from certificates, but from life.
From pain, observation, and truth.

A degree proves you can learn.
But your portfolio proves you understand, and that’s far more important.

Writing isn’t about qualifications.
It’s about connection.
It’s about translating thoughts into feelings, and feelings into action.
And that’s not something any syllabus can define.

So, if you’re hiring writers , don’t look for degrees. 
Look for impact. For voice. For words that stay with you.

And if you’re the one writing, stop doubting your worth because of what’s missing on your résumé. Your experience is your degree. 
Your body of work is your certification.

A degree can teach you to write.
But only life teaches you why.

My daughter asked me,
 “Mummy, what is Atma Nirbhar?”

I proudly said, “Beta, it means self-dependent.”
She thought for 2 seconds and replied…
“Then why are we dependent on our Atma?”
And honestly… I had no answer.

My brain quietly packed its bags and left the room.
Kids don’t ask questions.

They drop philosophical bombs and walk away like it’s nothing.
Now I’m sitting here wondering:
Am I Atma Nirbhar…
or is my Atma the one being Sonal-Nirbhar?

Parenting is wild.

Today, I don’t run from fear. I use it.

I turn it into stories, ideas, conversations, and work that moves people.
This is what I do.

I help people express themselves ,clearly, honestly, fearlessly.

Not by pretending fear doesn’t exist…
but by working through it.
Because when you know your story,
when you stand in your truth,
when you show up consistently ,
You stop competing.
You start becoming.

So, ask yourself and tell me, 
What is the one fear you’re ready to voice…
so it can finally lose its power?

I am the mother who returned to work after maternity leave. And most people assumed I would come back distracted, slow, and less committed. 
They didn’t say it directly. 
But it was there in the way they spoke to me. 
And may be they were true too, as the role changes, the guilt factor inside me, and moreover some kind of Subtle disbelief. 
Soft doubt. Judgement hidden behind “concern”.

And the truth I never admitted publicly before.
I didn’t fail because I was not capable.
I failed because I allowed their words to become my limitations. 
I let their doubts become my belief system. 
I reduced my own voice because I trusted theirs more.

One day I realized something simple but powerful: if I keep working under the weight of other people’s opinions, I will always stay smaller than my potential.
So I chose a different route.

I stopped proving myself to people who already didn’t believe in me. 
I stopped explaining my value. 
I started building my own work. 
My own clients. 
My own opportunities. 
My own identity.

Now I run my own things and I am building a life designed by choice, not fear.
And the most beautiful part is this:
My kids look at me and say, “Mom, we don’t want jobs. We want to be like you.”

That sentence changed everything for me. That makes me more proud on myself. Because when your children watch you create your own path, they learn that freedom is possible.
That mothers are not limited by motherhood. That ambition does not need permission.
So to every mother who is doubting herself today, remember :
- You don’t have to wait for validation.
- You only need to start with yourself.

Don’t let anyone define your limits. 
You are bigger than even your own doubts.

Yesterday my daughter came to me and said: mumma… I want this game.
Naysa has this. I also want this one for me.
One simple sentence.
But it hit me deeply.

Children don’t compare features.
They compare trust.

She didn’t want the game because a brand advertised it.
She wanted it because she saw someone she trusts using it.
This is how trust actually works.

Not from ads.
Not from promises.
Not from loud claims.
From observation.

And as adults, we are not very different.
We scroll through this digital jungle, where every post says:
we care
we are the best
we are the most reliable.
But trust is not built by saying it.
It is built by the pattern of behavior.

Show up.
Give value.
Keep your word.

Even when no one is watching.
Who you were last month matters more than what you say today.

Your consistency becomes your proof.
Your actions become your marketing.
Trust is not granted anymore.

We are all like Vikram now, someone is always whispering in our ears, telling us what to believe. But the wise choose to trust only what they have seen in action.

A brand should earn trust the same way a child does.
By being real. Not by being loud.

This post is for each and every person on the LinkedIn or anywhere else, your product becomes desirable only when someone who is already trusted… chooses it.

“Sonal, recently some of your posts are going viral. Why?”
A client asked me this Yesterday.

And they asked it with the same tone people use when they ask,
“Have you hired anyone or whats the magic ?”

It’s definitely not magic.
And it’s not luck.

“Can you make our content go viral too?”

That’s when I smiled and said the line most creators want to say but rarely do: “I’m a creator. Not a vending machine where you press a button and get virality.”

Posts go viral for simple reasons:
- A clear message.
- A relatable story.
- A real emotion.
- A specific audience.

Not “everyone.”
Not “make it viral.”
Not “whatever works.”

Creators are partners.
We work with clarity, intent, and context.
Not crystal balls.

The answer is easy:

Because it had something real to say.

The moment you chase virality, it runs away.
The moment you chase clarity, people listen.

Some days, being a mother and building a career feels like living two lives in one body.

One life wants to show up for every opportunity.
The other wants to show up for every moment at home.
And both matter.

No one prepares you for the guilt that comes with choosing.
The guilt of missing a call because your child is crying.
The guilt of missing a school moment because you’re in a meeting.
The guilt of trying to be everything, everywhere, all the time.

This is the part of women’s reality we rarely talk about.
I’ve sat in meetings pretending I’m fine when my mind was at home.
I’ve attended school events pretending I’m relaxed while mentally finishing deadlines.
I’ve cried quietly after both, because either way, something always feels like it’s slipping.

But now, after years of experiences, I’ve learned:
You can’t split yourself into two perfect halves.
You can only show up fully in the moment you’re in.

Some days, work wins.
Some days, your kids win.
And that does not make you less of a mother or less of a professional.

I’ve stopped chasing “balance.”
Now I chase presence.

If I’m with my kids, they get all of me.
If I’m working, the work gets all of me.

And I refuse to apologies for choosing differently on different days.
Women are not failing.
We’re doing the emotional labour of two lives at once.
We’re carrying dreams in one hand and children in the other.
And we’re still showing up.

If you’re a working mother who feels stretched, guilty, or tired, you’re not alone. You’re not doing it wrong. You’re doing the impossible, every day.
And you’re doing it with more strength than you give yourself credit for.

You know what's funny about being an 'ambitious' woman in business? You will get interpreted by so many terms.

Passionate = "Emotional"
Confident = "Arrogant"
Direct = "Rude"
Persistent = "Pushy"
Focused = "Cold"
Ambitious = "Ruthless"
Independent = "Difficult"
Assertive = "Bossy"
Visionary = "Unrealistic"
Competitive = "Cutthroat"
Disciplined = "Rigid"
Selective = "Exclusive"
Driven = "Obsessed"
Analytical = "Overthinking"
Protective = "Controlling"
Innovative = "Disruptive"
Bold = "Attention-seeking"
Principled = "Stubborn"
Resourceful = "Opportunistic"

These are the labels for women who dare to build. When I started my freelance, the questions weren't about what I was building, they were about whether I should be building at all.

"You should stick to job where you have worked for more than 15 yrs, or you are good at."
"Business is not our thing, right?"
"Can you really handle this?"
"Its not our that easy what you understand."

All while I was chasing payments, fixing margins, tracking returns, and fighting to keep everything afloat. But when the things took off? Nobody asked "How did you do it?"

Instead: "You've changed. You're different now."

But in reality, I never changed. I simply unlearned obedience. I stopped over-explaining my decisions. I quit waiting for approval to exist in my own space. And do you know, what is the cost of ambition? Its isolation, and rewards? Indelible integrity. 

You'll lose people who can't handle your growth. You'll outgrow rooms that once felt safe. You'll be misunderstood by those who prefer you smaller.
And that will only make you stronger.
Not just stronger but more powerful.

Because it's not your job to be relatable, it's your job to be real, 
to be unapologetically YOU. And above all, you’ve evolved into what you once had hidden inside.

The world needs more women who refuse to shrink.

Some people always seem to find their moment.
Their timing feels perfect.
They meet the right people.
Doors open for them.

I spent months observing this.
And, I noticed one thing, 

They listen more.
They talk to strangers.
They stay available for it.
Others stay locked in routines.
They try ideas even when they’re not ready.
And because they move, life moves with them.
These people don’t wait for the right moment.
They look for only one outcome and miss the ten small signs that could change everything.

𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 “𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁” 𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻’𝘁 𝗯𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱.
𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆’𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻.

Try this for a month:
• Say yes to one thing outside your plan
• Notice small chances, not just big wins
• Keep a daily note of one moment that worked out
• Picture yourself walking into a good day before it starts
Do this and you’ll see the shift.

𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗲𝗿.
𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂.

Today morning, my car had a puncture. 
I was upset, as it was already late and it was not working.
I thought to book a cab but it was showing 20 minutes. 
Without wasting time, I saw one auto coming nearby, but from far it looked full. A lady was sitting beside the driver.
So I said, “It’s okay bhaiya, it’s full.”

He smiled and said, “No madam, the back is empty, you can sit.”

I asked the lady, “Why are you sitting next to him like this. It doesn’t look safe.”

She laughed softly and said, “He is my husband. We don’t have a bike or scooter. So whenever we get a chance to ride together, I sit beside him. That warmth, that closeness, that is our luxury. He is coming to drop me at nearby where I work as maid.”

I stood silent for a moment, thinking what to say, but as I was late, I did not go much deeper, but that thought was still rushing in my mind.

We have bikes, cars and AC rides, and still rush through life without feeling anything. When we are going in bikes or cars, do we have these thoughts in mind? 

They have an auto and still choose to enjoy the small intimacy of being close, the touch, the warmth and everything that makes their relationship more strengthened and happy.

I have seen couples on cycles, laughing together in the traffic, but we people sitting in AC cars, just blaming traffic and the roadside people.
And I wonder, when did we stop enjoying simple things.

Sometimes privilege makes us blind, and sometimes simplicity makes people rich in ways money cannot measure.

Today I felt gratitude.
Not for what I have, but what I realized. 

Upgrading life is not necessary, 
experiencing the life you have is most essential.

Happiness does not come from what you own.
Happiness comes from how deeply you can live the ordinary.
That love is not about the vehicle you sit in.
It is about how you see it, and how you feel it. 💞

Yesterday, my daughter said something that touched a very quiet place inside me.

“Mummy, when someone teases me and I stay calm… I remember you. You always say , don’t get angry at small things. It’s just small stuff.”
She said it so softly, almost casually.

But in that simple line, I felt years of motherhood, the moments I thought she wasn’t listening, the lessons I wasn’t sure were reaching her.

Then very next moment, she added,
“When I waste time on TV or mobile, I remember how you always read books. Like Sahil Bloom’s The 5 Wealth. You tell me that time is also a kind of wealth.”

And suddenly I realized, our children don’t learn from what we instruct.
They learn from the life we live in front of them.

She remembers Sudha Murthy’s warmth because I read The Magic of the Lost Temple to her with love.

She remembers the courage in The Courage to Be Disliked because she saw me learn how to choose myself.

She remembers Wabi Sabi in the way I celebrate little imperfections in our home. Small small let go, small habits that do not need much attention. 

She remembers Ikigai when I ask her, “What made you happy today?”

She remembers Rework when I tell her, “Don’t wait for perfect. Just begin.”

Every story I have read,  every thought I have absorbed,  every value I have lived quietly…a part of it has travelled into her.

And that’s when it hit me, a book doesn’t just change the reader.
It changes the home.
It changes the child who watches that reader every day.
It shapes their thinking, their patience, their courage, their inner voice.

Children breathe in our stories.
They inherit our words, our habits, our way of seeing the world, without us even realizing.

Yesterday, she reminded me of something beautiful:
We are writing our children’s future books long before they learn to read their own. And in that moment, I felt grateful,  that she is growing up with stories that whisper,
“Be kind. Be curious. Be calm. Be yourself. Begin now.”

Because one day, these lessons won’t be my words in her ears,
they will be her strength in the world.

And once again, I’m reminded of how storytelling shapes us. 
Children read our lives before they ever read a book.

“Mummy, why do people hide the sad parts of their story?”
Me: To look strong.

Her: But stories become stronger when they’re real.
I wasn’t ready for that answer.

We edit our lives like drafts, 
cutting the messy parts, softening the hurt,
hiding the chapters we wish never existed.

But the truth is simple:
the story feels whole only when it’s honest.

Strength isn’t in the filtered versions.
It’s in the broken lines we fear to show,
and in the courage it takes to speak them.

Some people learn storytelling.
Some are just born with the instinct to see the truth.

And this child…
she reminds me every day
that real stories are the ones that heal.

𝗜 𝘄𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗱𝗮𝘆. 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗲𝘀, 
𝗜 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝘁 , 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁.

People think writers earn only when they “get lucky.”
But in my case, luck had nothing to do with it.

𝗜 𝘄𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗮 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺.
Some work paid.
Some didn’t.
Some clients valued it.
Some didn’t.

Then, I realized one thing:
Writing every day isn’t enough.
𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹 𝗯𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀.

So I built mine, simple, clear, and workable.
I chose one skill to lead with.
I focused on one type of person who actually needed my words.
I created small offers people could say yes to without thinking twice.
I started conversations instead of doing sales.
And I delivered clean work, fast.
Slowly, the balance shifted.

Less “free writing.”
More paid writing.
More people reaching out.
More people trusting my words.

I still write every day.
But now I write with purpose.
And that changed everything.

And then one day it clicks:
you’re not losing people,
you’re losing the version of you that needed them.

If your circle doesn’t clap when you evolve,  change your circle.

Growth is lonely at first. But peace makes it worth it.

If Your Brand Shut Down Today… Would Your Content Still Matter?

Most brands post to stay visible.

We call it productivity.
But sometimes it’s just noise.

Half attention here, half attention there, 
and nothing gets our full self.

Kids notice what we miss:
Speed doesn’t always mean progress.
Presence does.

One task done with clarity
feels lighter than five done in a hurry.

Maybe the real multitasking we need is balancing work with awareness.
