When I joined Crocs, my only mission was to solve the backlog audits and improve the audit process. Later on, I developed my responsibilities on SOX European audit being also part of SOX & Internal audit global team in partnership with KPMG US. 
Looking back, I am happy I could make a positive impact in the organization. 
Solved 8 statutory audits backlog (both SAP and JD Edwards).
Manage  and coordinate the European statutory audits for Crocs entities ( Europe BV, France, Germany, UK, Spain, Ireland, Austria ).
Coordinate the  global audit  with Deloitte, provide timely and accurate compliance on global interim audit.
Strengthen the internal controls process by enforcing a disciplined SOX control environment:
- coordinate European SOX sudit walktroughs with the process owners
- maintain European control documentation by making recommendations on process ( RCM, process flowcharts )
- ensure SOX deficiencies below 5% and remediation of the controls deficiencies with the process owners through management action plans
- manage the SOX  interim and YE audit requests , partnership KPMG US in follow up audit documentation requests and sample selection
- ensure knowledge of controls owners is up to date trough communication on SOX goals and audit results.
Coach the accounting team and the outsourced team, if necessary, and involved them into the audit process.
Assist with reviewing, coordination and validation European lease contracts in the global lease accounting project.

Compliance Controller & SOX Coordinator Europe

Kraton Polymers BV

Responsible for the closure activities of the EMEA headquarter including monthly /quarterly reconciliation of the GL accounts.
Monitor monthly global IC balances and coordinate the follow-up within the countries.
Analyze Account Receivables aging, coordinate with CFR teams and drive corrective actions.
Responsible for the preparation of the 10 – K reporting to US.
Assist EMEA Senior Management in preparing and submission consolidated reporting package.
Manage   SOX   internal   audits   /     KPMG   external   audits   and   coordinate   within   the   countries   when appropriate.
Evaluate the current SAP reporting tools and propose recommendations for improving and follow-up with US CoE (SAP Centre of Excellence).
Since April 2013, responsible for managing the general ledger accounts for Kraton Polymers Research BV /Kraton   Polymers   France  including   Payroll,   Business   Taxes,   VAT   reporting   ,   Statistics   and   Capex   WBS projects. In 2014 also responsible for Kraton Polymers Poland.
Apart of US GAAP / SOX audits, manage the statutory audits with BDO NL / KPMG France and preparation of the statutory audit bridge files from US GAAP to Dutch GAAP / French GAAP.

•	Lead and coordinate 2008 group consolidation ( 22 legal entities ), global annual report and group BDO audit ( according to the Dutch GAAP and IFRS )
•	Lead and co-ordinate monthly global consolidation process (control monthly intercompany balance confirmation, netting payments process )
•	Co-ordinate monthly global cash flow and responsible for the consolidated cash flow report for CEO, CFO and GDF ( qualitative and quantitative analysis, evaluate KPIs implementations and propose alternative solutions )
•	Responsible for the weekly bank balances analysis report for CEO, CFO and GDF and implementation of the  international cash management system ( ICMS ), global exchange rates maintenance
•	Responsible for the transfer pricing administration according to the business models across the countries ( in collaboration with M&S and commercial controllers ), advice with the regard of the profitability margin per articles
•	Support and build, develop and implement global finance procedures and policies and recommend continuous improvements of the financial processes
•	Critically evaluate current consolidation tool ( AS ) and assisting in defining future consolidation tool ( COGNOS )

	Management of finance and accounting according to the WWF Field Operations Manuals and local requirements, where necessary to train all staff to comply with the foregoing
	Monitor and control expenditures per international projects, management of office core budget and country consolidation budget, negotiating with various supplies

•	Supervision and control of the economic activity for 7 small companies (publishing, printing house, business consulting, entertainment) within the group in order to ensure that financial, administrative and management systems were satisfactory and according to the internal rules and legal procedures
•	Performing operational audit missions  to asses the efficiency of the control processes and special investigations as required by the Group management (risk evaluations) and offering support to all departments to ensure budgets were realistic
