How I Landed My First 5 Clients Using Cold Email

Everyone thinks they've maxed out their TAM.

They haven't…

Last quarter, I was talking to a friend and he said… ‘’I told my team to expand to adjacent marketers… We've contacted everyone in our ICP’’

But here's what actually happened:

They didn't max out their TAM, they maxed out their tool's coverage.

I'm not kidding

I was reviewing outbound strategies with a client last week, and they showed me an email that got a reply in 11 minutes

No clever hooks or any polished value prop. 

Just a quick note saying ‘Saw your team just announced Series B - congrats.’

I reviewed their other emails too

Beautifully crafted emails with perfect cas studies… All sitting in the inbox with zero response

That's when I realized that most of use are losing deals not because pitch is not good enough

It’s because we are sending the right message at the wrong time 

This is what that simple email got right

The prospect had just announced their Series B. They were in growth mode. 

It was exactly what they needed to hear at that exact moment.

Most of the time it's about timing and 4 lines average email can outperform every polished pitch because it arrived at the perfect moment.

So, stop obsessing over perfect words and start obsessing over perfect timing.
