I have always loved building SYSTEMS.

At 24 y/o, I built a small video game for fun.

In my late twenties / early thirties, I was a software developer in IT companies. I got the opportunity to be in a team that was building a BIG product for EDF (French Electricity Company) to manage electrical power plants. The cool part of that project was that I got to grow on many dimensions of software development: databases, server installations, object oriented programming and more.

From my early thirties, I moved into leadership roles but I would still create Excel products for myself to increase my productivity.

In 2021, I built my first web application using Bubble. I was expecting to release it as a SAAS to market but I decided not to. The product was good, myself and another user were using the system on a daily basis, but I didn’t believe it would work as a SAAS so I dropped the idea.

End 2022/ beginning 2023, I built my first website with Bubble.

On 13th of February 2023, I launched my Solopreneur business part time next to my full time corporate job and released my first online course.

On 11th of October 2024, I released Togenda, a new way to manage tasks with Notion.

I raise the level of my SYSTEMS constantly, it's an endless improvement loop.

My mental model is: "I am 0.1% stronger&wiser today than I was yesterday".

As an Event Security Officer with extensive experience in the field, the main responsibility will be to ensure the safety and security of all attendees, staff, and assets during various events. 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement comprehensive security plans for each assigned event, considering the specific requirements and potential threats.
2. Conduct security patrols to monitor the premises, identify suspicious activities, and prevent unauthorized access or potential disruptions.
3. Utilize IPM strategies to identify and assess potential security risks, and implement measures to prevent or mitigate them effectively.
4. Collaborate with event organizers, law enforcement agencies, and other security personnel to ensure smooth coordination and adherence to established protocols.
5. Maintain a vigilant presence and respond promptly to any security incidents, implementing appropriate measures to address and resolve them.
6. Operate and maintain security equipment and systems, including CCTV cameras, alarms, access control systems, and other relevant technologies.
7. Provide excellent customer service by assisting attendees with any queries or concerns while maintaining a professional and approachable demeanor.
8. Prepare concise and accurate incident reports detailing any security breaches, disturbances, or conflicts that occur during events.
9. Conduct regular risk assessments and propose recommendations for enhancing security measures, ensuring continuous improvement in security protocols.
10. Stay updated on the latest IPM techniques and industry best practices, attending relevant trainings and seminars to enhance professional knowledge.

Worked on 18 full sized projects and applied learning through various research-based modules including;

Advanced Successful Information Systems; Worked on Bosch case study, developed numerous frameworks as part of digital artifact for SAP S/4 Hana implementation.

Dissertation; Developed a conceptual framework for Sheffield City Council originally had their buy-in but with covid, I had to cut the project short unfortunately

Graduate Research Student - IT and Computer Science

Took part in a month-long work-based digital marketing and software management project at Sheffield Hallam University undertaking research into well-renowned steel Manufacturers. Was expected to provide clear and decisive leadership and expertise within the software development team to ensure high quality and timely delivery of software for research and operational services. I did lead by example and demonstrated good principles and practices in software development and delivery (e.g., agile processes, TDD, security/privacy by design) as well as exemplified good IT professional behaviors and coding standards, alongside clear, relevant, and proportional documentation. Also worked on group development exercise including teamwork theory, management theory and utilising automated AI to determine business successes. 72% Graded.

IT Business Systems Researcher at Barnsley City Council and Sheffield City Council as part of applied learning at Sheffield Hallam University School of Computing.  4x visits to SHU school of computing and LEADing Practises training organisation in EA, SAP BMP, Fiore, SAP Gui and data science architect project x4 visits missed workshop on FCA in March 19 deffered due to health issues dropping my grades from Guarranted 68% to 55%. In the role of IT Business Systems Researcher at Barnsley City Council, Abdi Hassan MSc undertakes extensive research and analysis to identify opportunities for improving and optimizing the council's IT systems and processes.

Abdi collaborates with various stakeholders, including internal staff and external vendors, to gather requirements and assess the technology needs of different departments within the council. Abdi's life journey was not within the following challenges, faced health wise and gained the lowest grades in the UK, UCAS clearing 2013. However, he proactively volunteered with the university and the Student Union, which reinvent him in his self-development, studies alone over 120 Hrs a week over 5 years wth/out a break.

Despite the setback in 18/19 gained a 2.1 standard degree and returns to SHU, the commitment to improvement led him to pursue a Master of Sciences degree in ITM at Sheffield Hallam University. This advanced MSC program allowed him to  enhance his skills in computer science, particularly in the areas of enterprise architecture (EA) and BA & earnt a 2,1 Merit in MSc ITM in Mar 2020 as first graduate.. After turning down a roles back after graduating. 

During his HE life,  Abdi dealt with health challenges that deferred his final year of uni in January 2017 after a disagreement at national level with 1 year Coma break cut to 9 months However, this setback opened up a new way for him to gain valuable time and develop a passion for DA/DS as a Expert, in LEAD. 

With his ed background and focus on data transformation, Abdi Hassan is equipped with the applied knowledge wise  thrive in the Tech industry. His dedication to be motivated,  with his passion for leveraging data analytics in digital transformation and DS.
