In my role as a Research Analyst Intern, I was accountable for identifying and analyzing quantifiers that measure our organization's present and future impact on the community. The challenge was to capture data that goes beyond simple quantifiers such as the members' average income or the number of jobs created. The goal was to get a holistic picture of 1909's value and impact on the community in order to support the organization's fundraising activities.

I was also responsible for developing and executing a plan to improve the organization's relationships with local educational institutions. The goal of this project was to improve communication, attract local talent, and, most importantly, retain local talent in the community. In this role, I worked closely together with university representatives, alumnis, and 1909's executives and members.

I was responsible for the coaching of six goalkeepers and helped organizing camps with up to 40 players.
I designed and ran practice sessions, analyzed performances, conducted quarterly video analyses, scouted prospects and documented all results in an online database.

I enjoyed being a mentor to adolescent talents and supperting their career developments. It was great to see them winning numerous awards that season.

My main responsibilities included analyzing and comparing the department’s performance (e.g., revenues, target group reach) in order to create and customize offers. 
I also prepared client-specific offers and sales presentations for new and existing clients as well as supporting the drafting of contracts and maintaining the CRM database.

A special highlight was serving on the Summer 2016 Roadshow committee where we met with leading media agencies to promote Sport1`s new products.

Analyst Intern

Playing soccer on the highest level throughout my youth (since age 11) taught me a lot about commitment, pressure, discipline, humility and, most importantly, teamwork and collaborative effort. 

Today, I look back on many domestic and international experiences in high-stress, fast-paced, and team-oriented working environments. These traits have certainly helped me along my pursuit of a career in finance.

Currently, I am helping a FinTech start-up providing investment research and education while pursuing an M.B.A with a finance concentration.

I am also actively involved within Adelphi University’s Willumstad School of Business, where I support two professors as graduate assistant (Finance; Decision Sciences). 

Lastly, I am part of the coaching staff of Adelphi’s nationally-ranked men’s soccer team participating in the NCAA. 

Outside of these commitments, I like to travel (27 countries and counting), volunteer (mostly mentoring and coaching teenagers, but also some experiences in the start-up world), scuba-dive and play soccer from time to time (NY Greek Americans).
