MethodKit

We summarize the common language people use to talk about their discipline into a tool for dialog (deck of cards). Each card with an important perspective, an icon and an explanatory oneliner. The decks of cards giving broad understanding over fields and are tools to discuss, ideate and structure projects with.

Extensive research is made in each field. The process takes around 3-15 months and normally involves a handful of people, but varies a lot, in some of our cases more than 50 experts are involved. 50 areas have been mapped so far.

I've been carrying out a wide range of workshop during the last years. Ranging from 1 hour sessions to 2-3 days. From sessions with 5 to 1100 participants.

I've been facilitating Idea Week at Hyper Island two years, along with a number of two day MethodKit sessions on personal development. I've also been facilitating Technology Mashup workshops together with a specially designed cards with technologies, sensors & data sources to show people the possibility of technology and how the bits and pieces could be combined in infinite ways. Through my work with MethodKit, workshops are often conducted in new fields exploring how new types of tools can be used.

Worked mostly with learning design, project management and graphic design around local initiatives that the organization conducted.

Was involved in the groundwork to initiate a local democracy council (Husbyrådet). My work involved a mix of process- and information design. I've been making material that will aid facilitation and logistics around the council, along with working with the E-democracy services (using e-ID to conduct community-led votes around different issues).

Was part of the annual admission group for 3 years. Carried out 20-30 minute interviews, facilitated group tasks and created material that was an aid in individual assessment. Was also a part of composing a selection of participants that was presented to the board. I designed assessment material and developed methodology to visually be able to compare applicants in the application process.

Over the last 11 years, I've been working with MethodKit to create 60+ tools to help people map, brainstorm and unite people around topics. A big part of the job has been to systematically map the shared language people use to talk about their field of work. Over the years we collaborated with eg. UN-Habitat, Deutsche Welle Akademie, Hyper Island, Swedish Ministry for Peace and Security and (Swedish) Ministry for Foreign Affairs.

2019-2023 I've worked closely with local Stockholm-based organisations like Folkets Husby, Kompis Sverige and The Good Talents to find new forms of education, methodology, community-building & local impact.

The next five years I want to focus on making tools for for new topics and organisations. And I want to work more with education, systems thinking (to make it easy for people to understand big topics like environmental issues or politics), research, method development and design.
