The Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) is the trade association representing the Northern Virginia technology community. As one of the nation's largest technology councils, NVTC serves companies from all sectors of the industry, from small businesses and startups to Fortune 100 technology companies, as well as service providers, academic institutions, foreign embassies, nonprofit organizations and government agencies. Director of Finance And Administration

A Brighter Image

Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive issues.
Provide general administrative and office support as requested (assist with incoming phone calls, moderate copying/filing/faxes, etc.)
Keep staff, doctor calendars, and daily schedules updated
Schedule and coordinate meetings and appointments for owners.
Complete and/or assist with projects and tasks as assigned by the owners.
Research and plan employee engagement events.
Assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains employee handbook, policies, and procedures manual.
Perform benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, and communicating benefit information to employees
Assist in the coordination of moves/expansions as necessary.
Coordinates daily benefits processing including, but not limited to, COBRA, terminations, open enrollment.
Process and track FMLA and ADA claims
Backup other areas as needed such as selling glasses, inputting glasses and contact orders, screening patients before seeing the doctor for their eye examination.
Set up and maintain electronic vendors and client files.
Responsible for Onboarding, new hire orientation, and creating a staff training schedule.
Assist in training new hires and staff.
Keep staff payroll records.
Prepare monthly and annual operating financial statements.
Use Quickbooks to enter expenses, payroll, and banking.
Maintain stocks of office supplies handle purchase orders, work orders, and repair orders for office equipment.
Assist with the preparation of employee evaluation reports (EERs) in e-performance.
Develop and maintain a working knowledge of computer systems and databases. Ensure that the office’s computer equipment is in working order.
Plan office layout develops office budget and initiates cost reduction programs.
Scheduling and administering facilities maintenance requests to ensure that workspaces are functioning adequately.

Office Manager

Process vision insurance claims, knowing medical coding and billing procedures.
Explain to clients their vision insurance benefits.
Advise clients on how to use their insurance benefits for their vision needs.
During open enrollment consult clients which plan works best for their vision needs.
Calling vision or medical insurances with issues regarding claims, payment delays, EOBS, and member eligibility.

Vision Insurance Consultant

Answer patient calls in regards to scheduling, contact order placement, and status check. 
Attend office patients with scheduling, checking out, and placing contact orders. 
Carry out pre-screening tests before patients see the doctor
Explain to the patient their insurance benefits before seeing the optometrist and seeing an optician. 
Provided suggestions to customers on the type of lens/frame, style, and brand based on their lifestyle. 
Adjustment of the frame when the patient picks up glasses or when the patient comes in with an issue 
Received customer feedback and performed exchanges.
