For anyone looking into AI in the Security space, this is a must read. Kudos to Panther for sharing this out to the community at large. This is gold!
 
I hope other vendors take note of their lessons and focus on the fundamentals - not just sprinkling AI fairy dust on everything and saying it's magic. Work towards augmentation and organizational context, and don't even mention replacing people with AI (unless you love eye rolls). And like in the early days of the internet, in the early days of AI, you need to think like a builder to get the most of our this tech.

Security teams are successfully using AI in production today, but not in the way you may think.

I synthesized 10+ hours of conversations from the Detection at Scale podcast in 2025 with security practitioners at Salesforce, Databricks, and FanDuel to understand the commonalities. 

What emerged were four shared mindsets:
