📍  Call them evangelists
📍  Don't call it social media. Call it channels.
📍 Refer to them as megaphones for company messages, but with built in content.

Removes:
❌  biases that influencer aren't authentic or are just for B2C
❌  gives them a pathway to new audiences 
❌  any bias about social media not being a real place for marketing when you say channels (podcast, radio, mag & social media are all channels.) 

It's not trickery. 
It's the truth, just repackaged. 
Afterall, that's what marketing is...

This week, I saw exactly how a strong personal brand works in real life - not in theory:

Twice (!)

First.

I jumped on a discovery call with a potential client.
Inbound lead.

She told me she’d been following me for a long time.

The call felt warm from minute one.

We were aligned immediately. It felt like she already knew how I think, how I work, and what I stand for.

No awkward pitching was needed!

Second.

I reached out to a designer.
Cold message. She came recommended, but we had never spoken.

She replied instantly.

She knew my LinkedIn profile.
She mentioned my posts about moving countries.
About motherhood.

She’s fully booked. Still, she took on my socials project fast.

That’s the real power of personal brand.

Not likes.
Not vanity metrics.

Trust, before the first call.
Context, before the first message.
Preference, before the first pitch.

When you consistently share your story, your thinking, your experience, people don’t start from zero with you.

Actionable advice if you want this to work for you:

• Share what you’re learning, not only what you’ve “figured out”
• Repeat your core ideas until you’re bored. That’s when they start landing
• Mix professional insight with real life context. People buy from humans
• Write for the people you want to work with, not for everyone
• Be consistent. Personal brand compounds quietly, then pays loudly

You don’t build a personal brand for attention.
You build it so business feels easier.

Not “working mom… content ideas”.
Not career growth.
Not leadership.

People aren’t searching how to “thrive”.
They’re searching how to cope.

That’s quite sad, but it is what it is.
Being a working mum is bloody hard.

I know this from both sides.

I hired working moms. 
My cofounder became a working mom one year into our business.
I myself became a working mom.

I could see the pressure back then.
Now I feel it myself.

And yet, the working mums I work with bring some of the strongest skills into any team:
- sharp prioritisation
- clear boundaries

Early last year, a 14-day self-care challenge doubled my profit. Here’s exactly what I did 👇

It started badly.
I booked fancy spas.
Meditation.
All the things self-care is supposed to look like.

But it didn’t work.

It still felt like work.
Another schedule to manage.

Then I realised the real issue:
I didn’t know what I wanted anymore.

Years of being deep in business does that.
You keep delivering, deciding, pushing.
At some point, you just lose the connection with your body and mind.

Big questions didn’t help.
“What do I want from life?” was paralysing.

So I simplified it.

Every morning, I wrote down 3 things I wanted today.
Not what I should do.
What I genuinely wanted.

Sometimes it was basic:
Good food. Fresh laundry. A proper walk.

Sometimes it was work:
Finish one task I cared about.
Focus instead of being available.

Then I did the key part:
I booked those 3 things into my calendar and built my day around them, instead of squeezing them in at the end.

Slowly, I reconnected with myself.
And then something unexpected happened.

I started working on my business because I wanted to.
Not because I had to.
Not to fit someone else’s idea of success.

I dropped things that looked impressive but felt heavy.
I leaned into work I genuinely loved.
And that work made more money.

Last year:
• I doubled my profit
• I reduced stress to the lowest level I’ve ever had
• I stopped growing for the sake of growth

No fancy office.
No “founder lifestyle”.
No performance success.

Self-care isn’t about spa days.
It’s about knowing yourself again.
