I served as a Peer Researcher for a collaborative research project between IPPR and the VOICES Network, focusing on the experiences of asylum seekers with accommodation in the UK.  This research aims to inform better policies and practices for supporting asylum seekers.  In my role,  I facilitated the participation of VOICES Ambassadors, ensuring their voices were heard throughout the research process.  I also assisted with data gathering and research activities, honing my communication and research coordination skills.

Promoting Collaboration and Advocacy: I spearhead initiatives that bring together influential women leaders from diverse sectors in Nigeria. Through collaboration and advocacy, we strive to dismantle barriers faced by women and create a more inclusive and equitable society.

Driven by a passion for women's empowerment, I founded Judy Women Empowerment and Development Initiative (JUWEDI) in 2019. JUWEDI provides a supportive platform for women in our community, guiding them on their journeys toward self-sufficiency and leadership. Through mentorship programs, skills training workshops, and access to educational resources, JUWEDI empowers women to reach their full potential.

Empowering Young Women: I am passionate about supporting the next generation of female leaders by serving as a Youth Mentor at Goal Women Africa. Through individual mentoring sessions, I provide guidance, encouragement, and resources to help young women navigate challenges, develop their skills, and achieve their full potential.
Promoting Goal Setting and Development: I collaborate with mentees to set SMART goals, identify their strengths and interests, and explore career aspirations.
Building Confidence and Resilience: I create a supportive space where mentees feel comfortable sharing their experiences and challenges. I encourage them to develop self-confidence and resilience to overcome obstacles.
Advocacy and Mentorship Community: I actively participate in mentorship training opportunities and collaborate with fellow mentors to foster a supportive mentorship community at Goal Women Africa.

Judith Nkwopara is a passionate advocate for women's empowerment and development, with a multifaceted career spanning academic excellence, entrepreneurial leadership, and social activism. Holding a National Diploma in Petroleum Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry, she further honed her expertise in African history through the lens of economics through the prestigious Wheeler Institute for Business and Development in collaboration with London Business School.
