In my practice, I assist individuals with a variety of needs related to career development, relationship management and life transitions utilizing the CliftonStrengths assessment. Backed by decades of Gallup’s research and analytics, my goal is to provide individualized coaching that helps my client maximize their potential using their talents. 

Career development consulting includes the CliftonStrengths assessment review, helping my clients to discover their strengths and showing how they can apply those strengths going forward. In refreshing the resume, we uncover how these strengths have shown up in previous positions, and how the client can bring those strengths to their next role. We also discuss job search strategies, networking, LinkedIn profile updates, and preparing for interviews. 

Life transitions consulting focuses on your assessment results, recognizing your talents and how you show up in a variety of situations using your strengths as a foundation. When we understand why we do things a certain way, we're better able to use those talents for good in any situation.

I coached candidates through the career transition process including resume and reference creation, job search skills, TriMetrix DNA and DISC assessment evaluation, networking opportunities, interview preparation, post-interview debrief, and job offer negotiations. I also facilitated group meetings and shared resources to support candidates moving toward their next role.

Career Transition Specialist

I provided a variety of consulting services for clients including process improvement, marketing, and advocacy. I acted in an executor role for a family estate by paying and closing accounts, conferring with the attorney, coordinating auction and sale of the home and leveraging financial investments. Working with the owner of Naomi’s Hallmark Gold Crown Store, we collaborated to improve processes to streamline sales, update marketing efforts, reduce inventory and organize the stockroom. I contributed 
crisis intervention and advocacy services at Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault by supporting adolescent and adult survivors during sexual assault forensic evidence collection examinations and facilitating weekly support group to provide psycho-educational support.

Consultant

Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association

My daily work included developing, coordinating and marketing more than 75 continuing legal education programs annually to assist members and non-members in obtaining required annual accreditation. This included maintaining the recording, production and promotion of webcasts for online education, as well as developing marketing strategies, writing copy and preparing materials for brochures and the web. I also served as the primary liaison to the Trial Academy Committee and federal and state courts in managing the strategic planning, budgeting and financial performance of the Ross T. Roberts’ Trial Academy.

Assistant Director of Continuing Legal Education

I coordinated the installation of a permanent, historical exhibit for U.S. Courts for the Western District of Missouri. I served as a liaison between court staff, external consultants and the exhibit fabricators. Understanding the  project goals, I maintained quality of the deliverables, organized materials, researched and acquired visual tools, and ensured adherence to production methods and design details. I collaborated with colleagues and designers to develop copy, resolve issues and assess needs throughout the lifecycle.

I provided administrative support to multiple companies including Arbor Day Foundation, National Research Corp. and Tabitha. (Relocated to Nebraska to care for ailing parent).

Excutive Assistant (Contract Assignments)

Nation Ranch Marketing, Inc. 

As the primary contact between the agency and the client (Missouri Division of Tourism), I implemented the marketing plan by establishing and developing relationships with 150+ in-state and out-of-state media and doubled the editorial equivalency from the previous year. I also created and moderated training sessions for the tourism industry, researched and wrote news releases, and orchestrated video production projects including script writing, editing and securing voiceover talent.

I partner with individuals experiencing transition related to career and life events using the CliftonStrengths assessment results to guide them forward, helping them recognize, develop and use their talents daily. I believe our talents are inherent, always available to support us in all situations. My approach starts with where you are and through conversation and understanding, we'll design a plan to keep you moving forward. The common thread throughout my career has been people, where I am curious as to who they are and how their unique talents show up. From facilitating grief support groups and new employee orientation programs to recruiting and traveling abroad, being a part of another person's development is one of my favorite experiences. I apply my Developer and Individualization talents to see others' capacity to change and grow, and recognize how individuals can utilize their unique strengths to work together. My Communication and Responsibility talents form the foundation from which I work and live.
