Manager, Project Delivery

The Proactive Strategy division has the mandate of centralizing and evaluating new strategies / tactics that will enable Field Services to reach its results, deliver better service and holistically increase it’s performance. Once these opportunities vetted, the team must then build business cases to ensure viability and profitability of these new ideas, present for approval and request funding. 

Achievements:

+ Identified a solution to reduce unnecessary property damage claims, by implementing a tool that optimizes product location, and rolled out a pilot across the 416 region to potentially reduce $850k in claims
+ Consulted and validated findings on 3 major initiatives as part of the bi-annual strategy review aimed at generating ~$3M in savings
+ Supported the Strategic Initiatives through the impacts analysis team to mitigate $2M in field risks associated with product launches

Manager, Proactive Strategy & Data Analytics

Planned and directed field operations for IPTV, Voice and Internet products and FTTH deployment through at team of 25 to 30 technicians and cross functional departments. 

Achievements:

+ Improved overall team effectiveness by 5.5%
+ Improved team % complete by 1.2%
+ Decreased overall team rework by 0.8%
+ Established a plan for the Manage Your Appointment application for 416 East Region to drive conformance from 17% to a target of 50%
+ Developed “Guide to Coded Orders” presentation and deliver it regionally which resulted in an increase in completed jobs

Field Operations Manager | 416 East

Managed and led a team of 6-12 unionized associates responsible for ensuring technicians met customer commitments in northeastern and central Ontario

Achievements:

+ Developed a working relationship with the field managers. This yielded a reduction in missed appointments by 2.73% since July 2016
+ Managed the student inward campaign geared at provisioning students with TV and Internet across Ontario.  This yielded a 92% completion rate and the refined processes reduced cycle time by 15 minutes.

+ Served as Student Consultant for a study of large scale electricity storage systems for implementation in Ontario
+ Assessed the feasibility for a variety of energy storage systems and provided further recommendations for both short duration energy storage (SDES) and bulk (BES)
+ Developed a levelized energy cost assessment using reported values from developers, vendors, and manufacturers
+ Analyzed how large scale electricity storage could be integrated into Ontario and the associated benefits that could be gained

Consultant

Dongara

The Dongara Pellet Plant is an operating waste processing facility located at the northeast corner of Highway 407 and Highway 27 in the City of Vaughan, Ontario. The Plant received operating permits from the Ontario Ministry of Environment in 2006 and, following construction, commenced operations in 2008. The Plant is permitted to receive a maximum of 208,000 tonnes of municipal waste annually from the Greater Toronto Area and the regions of York, Durham and Peel and process that waste into the Dongara trademarked EnerPax+ fuel pellets. Currently Dongara is under long term contract to process waste for the Region of York and is contracted to sell EnerPax+ pellets to approved facilities as an alternative fuel source.

+ Served as a Process Engineer on a process that converts solid municipal waste into an alternative fuel source
+ Gained strong understanding of lean manufacturing protocols including 5S and Kanban
+ Worked directly with equipment vendors and maintenance technicians to improve equipment lifetime for more efficient operation
+ Created 2D & 3D drawings using AutoCad for spare parts manufacturing
+ Developed, implemented, maintained, and improved a comprehensive working Preventative Maintenance Program for 60+ pieces of equipment
+ Created Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documentation for the cleaning, maintaining, and repairing of major equipment groups
