I’m the CEO of A Sales Growth Company (ASG) and the author of Gap Selling. Business Development Manager

Managing key accounts within the Commercial domain including Siemens, UK Power Networks and Transport for London. My role includes developing and maintaining relationships within these organisations, ensuring that CGI is seen as a competent and trustworthy partner, and placed well for future opportunities.

Within this role I have bid on fixed price and Agile contracts and placed both individuals and DevOps teams on a time and materials (T&M) basis.

Projects include resale of IP and new builds in a variety of languages, most commonly Java, C++, C# and Python in addition to complex data migration, cloud services (Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS)) and systems integration.

Spire Technology Ltd

Spire Technology are a prominent IT distribution company based on the south coast. I successfully managed the sales team of 12-14 people, set targets and KPIs and reported directly to the directors. I favoured a hands-on approach to management and showed the ability to develop and mentor staff members as well as retaining responsibility for developing and maintaining my own business area. 

Responsibilities:

●	Managing the Components Division, generating £120K profit per month with an associated company turnover of £25 million per year
●	Client base comprises of 500 companies and the product range has a 1000 lines-ensuring that these are account managed efficiently and effectively by the team
●	Ensuring that sales activities and targets are met- daily target of 60-70 telephone calls per person per day, with a 1:5 call conversion rate
●	Implement and deliver with sales team monthly sales target
●	Responsible for high quality sales and service to major accounts in UK
●	Project manage set up of new suppliers

In the role of Product Manager, I championed and promoted the company’s flagship brands and products, looking after all aspects of stock control, choosing which products to purchase, negotiating price and promoting products, both internally and externally. In my time in this role we helped cement NVIDIA position as the world’s no1 GPU manufacturer, helped ASUS to become the UKs top manufacturer of both motherboards and VGA cards and became the UK’s no1 distributor for MSI products.

I am a hard-working, confident, highly motivated professional with excellent communication skills. I am enthusiastic in my work and work equally well as a team member or on my own initiative. I am comfortable dealing with people at all levels and able to maximise any sales opportunity. I am intelligent and able to think on my feet and this has proved to be an effective contributor to any tasks I’ve undertaken.

I have a hands-on approach to management and the ability to develop and mentor staff members and can retain responsibility for developing and maintaining my own business area.
