During my time as VP of Sales I also served as the VP of Customer Success and Retention in a more flexible role. My general responsibilities in this role include: Optimizing the client experience and adoption of solutions/servies to ensure the premier customer experience in the STEM industry and the highest ROI for CS initiatives!

iconHD is a design, engineering and construction firm that provides AV systems integration and installation for enterprise clients as well as AV consultants. iconHD is a division of ICON Architectural Group, a mainstay Architectural firm based out of the upper Midwest. My position focuses on sourcing, bidding, procuring new opportunities for iconHD. Other responsibilities include tasks such as evaluating  business oportunities, valuing potential projects, creating a more effective project procurement process, and explaining the benefits of the iconHD brand to potential clients.

Since 2002, iconHD has worked on over 40 major sports designs and installations throughout the U.S. and Canada. Projects have been for NBA, NHL, MLS, and NASCAR as well as major NCAA universities.

iconHD’s core capabilities provide an AV project delivery that is both turn-key and reliable. Our ability to provide services from initial concept to final installation allows our clients wot work with one proven partner, for one turnkey solution.

Project Management Intern with a focus on sourcing, bidding, procuring new opportunities for iconHD. Project Management Intern

Dakota Venture Group

CTO Duties- Responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of Dakota Venture Group. I work closely with multiple other DVG Managing Directors to grow DVG through the use of technological resources. I use an active and practical approach to direct all associates to attain DVG’s strategic technological goals. Web applications include; Dropbox, Gmail Suite, Zoom to Meeting, and managing the DVG website.

Responsibilities:
1.) Conduct Research and case studies on leading edge technologies and make determinations on the probability of implementation.
2.) Provide Leadership to department heads in a fashion that supports the company’s culture, mission and values.
3.) Work in a consultative fashion with other M.D.’s, such as Marketing, Business Development, and Finance as an adviser to technologies that may improve efficiency and effectiveness.
4.) Establish Dakota Venture Group’s technical vision and leads all aspects of the company’s technological development.

COO Duties- Act as a key member of the Senior Management Team who reports to the President. I provide the leadership, management, and vision that is necessary to ensure DVG per operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems in place to effectively grow the organization and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency. I attempt to accomplish these tasks in a respectful, constructive and energetic style, guided by Dakota Venture Groups long term objectives.

Responsibilities:
1.) Provide day-to-day leadership and management to a service organization that mirrors the adopted mission and core values of the company. Bottom Line: Build a better DVG for many students to come.
2.) Spearhead the development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes.
3.) Collaborate with other M.D.’s to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the rapid growth of DVG.

Managing Director of Information Technology and Operations

As of January 2018, I have been elected Managing Director for Dakota Venture Group. Dakota Venture Group (DVG) is a $1.8 million venture capital fund at the University of North Dakota and is the first completely student run venture capital fund in the United States. DVG members conduct due diligence, negotiate deal term structure, and make final investment decisions in companies representing a wide variety of industries such as healthcare, technology, energy, and digital media.

Responsibilities,  
Key Tasks and Responsibilities: Participate in and contribute to all aspects of the investment process with responsibility for all quantitative and qualitative analysis of portfolio companies and funds.

Analysis: Qualitatively and Quantitatively evaluate potential transactions, including performing detailed sector and company research and analysis. Conduct Due Diligence and assist with deal execution and transaction management. Carry out portfolio company analysis, including valuations and financial modeling. Prepare materials for the investment committee and other internal meetings. Interact with external advisers and consultants as required regarding analysis. Assist with closing administration.

Structuring and Execution: Participate in the development of appropriate deal structures in close liaison with legal team. Work with the legal team to prepare and coordinate the execution of agreements, offer letters, and other legal and transaction documents.

Post-Investment Monitoring: Familiarity with board member roles and corporate governance. Keep up to date on portfolio performance and address any specific requests for action or approval.

Deal Sourcing, Marketing and Fund Raising: Conduct Desk research for marketing, deal sourcing, and fund raising. Build strong relationships with GP's/Investors/Consultants/Advisers.

Skills: Solid knowledge of relevant (healthcare, energy, agriculture, tech.) Advanced  financial, business modeling, and writing skills.)

Scheels holds their sales associates to the highest industry standards and their associates are known around the country for their customers service and knowledge of sporting goods products.

Represent the University of North Dakota Student government in the local community, by networking with local business owners and pitching the benefits of student discounts to their businesses.
