Working across several projects equally across generative AI tools and After Effects. This position pushed my skillset into new territory at times and I really embraced the learning curve. The team trusted me to turn around some particularly problematic shots with a polished finish that satisfied some demanding client requirements.

I Lead production and lipsync animation of German language translation for 9-episode series “Blade and Bounce,” delivering high-quality first drafts that maintained character energies of original English version whilst adhering to strict deadlines for pre-tournament delivery.

Successfully managing the production process from sourcing translators and voice artists to co-ordinating studio recordings and QA.

Earned additional responsibilities editing tournament highlight videos, recognised for exceptional attention to detail and structured, methodical approach.

Developed winning pitch for high-impact project, drawing inspiration from a previous political campaign video and animation style of Terry Gilliam. Analysed target audience from the band’s existing fanbase and crafted satirical animated scenes to align with the song’s lyrics for resonant and memorable viewing experience.

Leveraged expertise in text workflows within After Effects to redesign project template, reducing turnaround time per language from 2 hours to 20 minutes, significantly boosting productivity. Resolved frequent glyph accent defects through meticulous attention to detail, ensuring flawless visual output and client satisfaction. I progressed from contract editor to QC lead for large-scale project, overseeing nearly 800 videos in 30 languages for consistent quality across all deliverables.

Conceived and rigged branded characters, leveraging innovative automated lipsync solutions and reactive hair, ensuring projects remained adaptable to last-minute adjustments, enhancing project efficiency and client satisfaction.

Mastered advanced plugins, innovating with physics simulators to deliver engaging pitch videos and sizzle reels that outperform competitors and set new internal benchmarks in visual quality.

Integrated live action and animation using fast-turnaround techniques to produce two low-budget videos with a unique, original aesthetic that maximised on-screen production values. Repurposed leftover props and equipment from previous shoots to create “Machine” video, combining high-energy, playful editing to produce an exciting lo-fi experience. 

I Developed innovative techniques using the Pixel Encoder plugin to transform D.U.N.E's performances into a visually striking journey through the history of particle experiments. Making multiple on-the-spot resource-based decisions within tight budget constraints

That Lot

ThatLot London creative agency had me working on many fast turnaround projects for clients like Amazon, eBay, YouTube, Microsoft, and HSBC. Primarily as an editor for branded social content involving greenscreen, matching lighting, surface textures, and atmosphere effects along with a lot of typography work and overlay graphics. I was also one of their strongest animators and worked on more unique motion design projects beyond the skillset of most of their other editors.

BBC Studios

With BBC Studios I was working on social content for Top Gear and BBC Earth. Primarily this involved cutting funny standalone sequences from that week's upcoming episode of Top Gear and animating accompanying typography loud subs to overlay along with branded lower thirds subs. All content was built with a social first approach and was part of the rolling weekly output throughout. For BBC Earth I worked on short mini-explainer videos with lots of map animations and basic 3D, as well as a morning chorus video of cut-out animated birds.

Capturing engaging and emotive candid shots during panels discussions, film premieres and director Q&A, launch events, annual corporate parties, and education workshops. I brought my love of high energy street photography to the job and returned a style of images to my clients that provided for large amounts of content following on from the event.

I’m a freelance filmmaker specialising in 2D motion design.

I comfortably take projects from initial brief through concept development, scripting, art direction, shooting, editing, sound design and grading. I can handle character design and rigging, through to final character and FX animations, typography, data visualisation, UI interactions, screen replacement and greenscreen compositing. 

With over ten years creating with After Effects, Premiere, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Animate and experienced with plugins such as RubberHose, Duik, Limber, Newton, and the Trapcode suite. Currently upgrading my Cinema 4D skills.

Working across corporate internal and external coms, branded social media, explainers and graphics sequences for documentaries, I'm also increasingly directing music videos. My skillset has been honed working in fast turnaround environments at BBC Studios for Top Gear and BBC Earth, and That Lot London for eBay, Amazon Prime Video, YouTube, HSBC, and Microsoft.
