My role was to build the organisation from scratch into a leading procurement and supply chain industry search practice.

► Wrote and devised business plan, vision, sales strategy and sales presentation and took the Source concept to market delivering profitability.

Let’s do the maths again, shall we?  




Today the new living wage has jumped again by 4.1 % .  

If someone is earning £12.71 an hour, that breaks down to: £12.71 x 40 x 52 which totals £26,436.80 a year.  

But here’s the part that often gets overlooked.  

When the entry-level wage rises by 4.1 percent, what happens if everyone else expects the same increase?  

That’s usually how it works…

When you raise minimum wage by 4.1 percent, those above it will want a similar rise. 
Team leaders, skilled workers, supervisors, management…everyone.  

That’s when the numbers start to escalate.

It’s not just one salary band that shifts. It’s the whole structure that moves along with it.  

This also raises a significant question…. If the wage gap keeps narrowing, why would anyone want to take on more responsibility for just a little extra pay?  

This isn’t about denying fair wages… It’s about the practical challenges of running a business when every increase affects the entire workforce.
