And this one left fans changed, for good.

The holiday rentals giant built a full-sized version of Elphaba’s forest hideout in the Thousand Oaks woods, California, complete with film props and details diehard fans will obsessulate over. 🧹 

Cynthia Erivo then welcomed a handful of lucky fans to Elphaba’s Retreat for an exclusive Q&A.

Out of 400+ brand partnerships around the franchise, this one is the standout for me. 

Sure, I can appreciate a Glinda Barbie or an Elphaba Stanley cup, 

But actually stepping inside Elphaba’s Retreat opens up a totally different experience.

It genuinely feels immersive rather than just… merch-adjacent.

It’s another win for Airbnb’s ‘Icons’ lineup which has welcomed fans into the Barbie Malibu Dreamhouse, the Inside Out 2 HQ, the Up house, the X-Men Mansion and even Prince’s Purple Rain house.

They continue to turn story worlds into tangible moments that resonate far deeper than a fleeting TikTok trend.

Newsflash:
Fans want immersion. Brands want to be remembered. 

IRL experiences sit at that sweet spot!!

My one request Airbnb, please revive Shrek’s swamp. I simply must stay there. Sincerely, a swampcore fan x
