As Chef Planet I guide organizations from a bird's eye view in the process towards a future-proof and regenerative organization that makes a positive environmental, economic and social impact.

With in-depth knowledge, available tools and practical experience, I guide organizations to make sustainability an integral part of their strategy, culture and processes. The foundation of my work is based on systems thinking, nudging theory and sustainable business models.

Every organization is different and it always involves customization. On the route to sustainable business operations, we formulate green ambitions, make a quick scan of your current impact, draw up an action plan, monitor your impact and scale up those solutions that really make the difference.

East Coast Car Rentals is one of the largest independent car hire providers in Australia and my responsibilities included contract management, drafting damage reports and driving the Courtesy Coach bus.

The Van den Berg Group, operated by relatives of mine, is a farm with approximately 1200 dairy cows and several hectares of crops. I was responsible for day-to-day operations.

Hello Fresh is a weekly meal delivery service and I was responsible for door-to-door acquisition of new customers.

I was responsible for acquiring construction companies, managing customer relationships and recruiting personnel.

The Onesieclub offered qualitatively excellent onesies, easily to order through a orderly webshop. Our goal was to get the whole country in to these suits. Why? Because onesies are awesome. We partly succeeded and finalised our business due to next endeavours and long term travelling.

Voorheen: energiebesparing en opwekken duurzame energie, stimuleren Nul-op-de-meter renovaties, regionale klimaatcompensatie, circulaire economie, duurzaam inkopen, cradle to cradle, klimaatneutraal produceren, financieringsconstructies duurzame ontwikkeling, biologische catering, groen/blauwe diensten in de landbouwsector, duurzame en lokale producten in de horeca, waterzijdig inregelen, etc etc

Milieupunt Utrecht

In deze baan heb ik campagnes opgezet in Utrecht zuid, met en voor bewoners. Dit varieerde van campagnes over duurzaam klussen (ism bouwmarkten) tot actieweken over groen inkopen (ism winkeliersverenigingen). Ook werkten we aan meer natuurlijk groen in de wijk en betrokken we allochtonen bewoners bij het onderwerp milieu.

Ik heb van kinds af aan altijd interesse gehad in 'het milieu'. Verbeter de wereld, begin bij jezelf. Dit neem ik nog altijd mee in mijn werk. Ik word blij van samenwerken met bedrijven, organisaties en personen, die net als ik vooruit willen. Ik denk in kansen, zie die dan ook veel. Dat maakt dat ik het altijd druk heb met opvolging geven aan de dingen die ik bedenk en afspreek. Mijn enthousiasme schijnen mensen te waarderen.

Aflevering 9 in de serie 'Heel Nederland repareert'

✂️ Ik ging in gesprek met Lotte Valkenburg. Zij is sinds 2023 hoofdredacteur van het tijdschrift Knipmode. Ik sprak met haar hoe het thema ‘repareren’ ook in haar werk een – steeds belangrijkere - rol inneemt.

🪡 Lotte vertelt dat we in een derde golf zitten waarin kleding maken / repareren populair is. 

De eerste golf was na de oorlog: toen moesten mensen wel hun eigen kleding maken en repareren: er was niet veel geld. 

De tweede golf was bij het opkomen van de grote modehuizen: naaien werd een hobby, want nieuwe kleding kopen werd goedkoper dan iets zelf maken of repareren. 

En nu, de derde golf, bestaat omdat mensen veel meer bewust zijn van de problemen van die textielindustrie en we ons afvragen hoe het kan dat grote modehuizen zo goedkoop kunnen produceren.

♻️ Lotte vindt het belangrijk dat meer mensen kleding gaan repareren en pakt hierin haar rol.
