As Chef Planet I guide organizations from a bird's eye view in the process towards a future-proof and regenerative organization that makes a positive environmental, economic and social impact.

With in-depth knowledge, available tools and practical experience, I guide organizations to make sustainability an integral part of their strategy, culture and processes. The foundation of my work is based on systems thinking, nudging theory and sustainable business models.

Every organization is different and it always involves customization. On the route to sustainable business operations, we formulate green ambitions, make a quick scan of your current impact, draw up an action plan, monitor your impact and scale up those solutions that really make the difference.

The Van den Berg Group, operated by relatives of mine, is a farm with approximately 1200 dairy cows and several hectares of crops. I was responsible for day-to-day operations.

Hello Fresh is a weekly meal delivery service and I was responsible for door-to-door acquisition of new customers.

Solo long distance hike from the Atlantic Ocean to the Mediteranean See. In 47 days I hike 850 km, following the GR11 through the heart of the (Spanish) Pyrenees, climbing and descending a total of 47.000 meters, wild camping where ever I could. My intention? To be. In the mountains. With me. To really hear and experience myself. To disconnect from other human distraction and to live more in tune with nature. Feeding the body and mind exercise, rest and fresh oxygen.

I believe in the power of nature. I believe that feeling more connected to our own nature, each other and the beautiful world we get to call home, is beneficial to everyone's happiness and health!
(re)Connecting with ourselves, each other and nature in whatever form is something I want to direct my professional focus on moving forward.

Studying Applied Ecopsychology helped me realize this a lot. This course has changed me as a person. As a next step, I started the education at EWES (European Wilderness Education School) in Northern Spain to become a certified Wilderness Guide...

Next to that, I work as a feelance trainer/facilitator/HR/Operations project manager. I have a great interest in people and what motivates them. I love setting up new processes and challenge the status quo. I create structure where there is chaos and convert ideas into action plans with ease. I am a true generalist, learn quickly and take in new information easily, which makes that I am often responsible for a wide array of projects. 

Others describe me as stable (‘nuchter’ as we say in Dutch) openminded and interested in others. I am intrigued by how everything and everyone is connected as part of our ecosystem. Team dynamics, the individual vs. groups and leadership- and communication styles. 

I have been fortunate to travel to many beautiful places around the world already for longer periods of time. I always feel at ease while being on the road, but for now, Amsterdam is my home.  I am always on the lookout for new inner and outer journeys, in which i'm learning that enjoying the ride is more important then reaching whatever destination. Live in the now!
