My role improves interfaces between consultants and the Shell business units to bring more sites quicker to an operational status. I am also responsible for coordinating with the Global Centre of excellence and operational excellence team to balance between delivering the real estate agenda and the local business requirements.

Real Estate Program Manager - Shell Downstream South Africa (Pty) Ltd

As the Retail Growth & Development Manager I am a key manager within the Sales & Operations team with my main focus on growing the portfolio of sites. 

In addition I am responsible for existing portfolio’s site security which needs to be maintained and the Retail Supply Agreement roll out which needs to be completed. I am responsible for approx 80 of 250 sites, while improving customer service and supply economics.

I added value to help complete business cases for growth proposals and contract renewals together with the financial model of each of these sites. Analyse each business and identify opportunities to grow the business profitability with non-fuel retailing options. I assisted with negotiating a competitive rebate for dealer operated retail sites, and Identified new business opportunities to grow the Retail network, ie new to industry or new to Shell.

I assist with discussions around RAS (regulatory accounting system) changes with each dealer operated retail network and helped implement changes and negotiate a recovery fee.

Growth & Development Manager - Shell Downstream South Africa (Pty) Ltd

My role as the Change & Communication Manager is to support the local management team in execution of SA retail downstream one activities. To drive and deliver the successful delivery of the change programme aligned with global change management standards.
 
Project manage the actions required to streamline as well as standardize business processes for the introduction of global sap (GSAP) and related IT connected application portfolio.

Change & Communications Manager

I am responsible to manage the relationship between Shell and the Retailer (operator) at site level, ensuring consistent delivery of the Shell Customer Commitment through focus on the following:
 
CUSTOMERS:· 
To ensure consistent delivery of customer commitment by managing contract compliance.

PEOPLE:
I help identify gaps to retailer competencies and delivery of customer commitment; coach, support and advise retailers; develop retailer succession plans within the territory ensuring retailer pipeline is in place through active participation in recruitment and ensure that the retailer trains and develops their staff. I ensure that they understand the importance of people in delivering the customer commitment, sharing and coaching on shell tools and processes as appropriate.
 
SHAREHOLDER: 
I assist in setting retailer business plans to deliver sales and cost targets; review retailer’s profit & loss statements, and support retailer to develop action plans to close performance gaps.
 
CONVENIENCE RETAIL:
I analyse sales in the convenience retail store and optimize the business through the results of the analysis, with focus on increasing basket size and turnover.  Manage range review and products listed, including purchases from approved suppliers.  Monitor pricing and review margins.  Negotiate site specific promotions with suppliers as required.

HEALTH, SAFETY, SECURITY & ENVIRONMENT: HSSE
I assist with develop and maintain a strong HSSE culture within geographical area. I help to deliver agreed HSSE targets for geographical area and protect Shell’s interest by ensuring that all HSSE standards and procedural compliance are adhered to and stakeholder relationships are managed pro-actively.

OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE: 
I help plan and conduct site visits in accordance with call planning cycle tool ensure delivery of a competitive pricing position through fuel pricing procedures implementation and ongoing support of marketing and network initiatives.

With over 25 years of leadership experience in corporate South Africa, I have built a strong track record in strategic management, business development, and stakeholder engagement. Most of my career has been spent in the fuel industry, where I specialized in optimizing service station networks, driving market expansion, and delivering high-impact projects that balanced commercial success with operational efficiency. I remain passionate about the sector and open to opportunities where I can contribute my expertise.

Alongside my corporate journey, I founded Ultimacy Online—a platform dedicated to empowering women through sex-positive education and relationship coaching. I believe that when women have access to the right knowledge, they make more informed decisions that improve their confidence, relationships, and overall well-being. My work has been recognized globally, including being named a Brainz Magazine 500 Honouree (2020) and receiving the Great Indian Women Award (2021). I also had the honor of delivering a TEDx Talk on “The Importance of Intimacy.”
