Ho 16 anni di esperienza nello sviluppo software, prima come IT consultant, poi come co-founder tecnico, CTO e COO.

Negli ultimi mesi ho smesso di fare il “guardiano del codice” e ho iniziato a osservare davvero cosa succede quando lasci che l’AI scriva per te, senza filtri, fingendo di non sapere niente.

Il risultato mi ha sorpreso. Ma non nel modo in cui ti aspetti.

L’AI scrive codice decente. A volte ottimo. Ma ogni volta che mi sono avvicinato a qualcosa di complesso, ho capito che stavo navigando a vista proprio perché sapevo dove guardare. Sapevo riconoscere l’errore prima che diventasse un problema. Sapevo fare le domande giuste al modello.

Chi non ha quella base? Ottiene output che sembrano funzionare. Finché non arrivano in produzione.

Mi viene in mente qualcosa che ho vissuto in prima persona in Voxloud. Anni fa, quando abbiamo costruito le prime integrazioni native del centralino con i CRM, avremmo potuto buttarci a capofitto a scrivere tutto da zero. L’entusiasmo c’era. La voglia anche. Ma avevamo zero esperienza su certi edge case delle telefonie VoIP. Zero. E quegli edge case ti si presentano sempre nel momento peggiore, davanti al cliente sbagliato.

Abbiamo scelto di comprare esperienza invece di reinventarla. E quella scelta ci ha salvato mesi di debugging in produzione.

Oggi l’AI abbassa il costo di entry per scrivere codice. Drasticamente. Ma non abbassa il costo dell’ignoranza di dominio. 

Quello rimane altissimo. 

E diventa ancora più visibile proprio perché ora tutti possono produrre codice in volume industriale.

Il vibe coding è reale. L’opportunità è reale. 

Ma chi sopravviverà all’onda non sarà chi usa l’AI di più. Sarà chi capisce abbastanza in profondità da sapere quando fidarsi dell’output e quando no.

Saper progettare sistemi complessi, ragionare sulle architetture, anticipare i problemi prima che esistano: questa roba non la impari dal codice che genera un modello.

La impari facendo. Sbagliando. E facendo ancora.
