Diet culture has sucked the life out of so many women….

90% of women share a similar story as my client Jenna. 

She was stuck at 1300 calories a day, pushing through workouts, but still not seeing the weight loss she wanted. She was constantly tired, frustrated, and hungry, but she thought eating less was the only way.

After reviewing her habits, it became clear she was under-eating, and her body was holding onto fat for dear life. Her metabolism had slowed down, and her body was storing fat instead of burning it!

Here’s how we turned it around:

1️⃣ We slowly increased Jenna’s calorie intake to fuel her body better. Surprisingly, this helped her feel more energized and less hungry.

2️⃣ Instead of cutting carbs, we shifted her focus to complex carbohydrates, healthy fats, and lean proteins to give her body sustainable energy.

3️⃣ Jenna swapped out excessive cardio for strength training, which helped her build muscle and boost her metabolism.

4️⃣ We worked on her relationship with food, focusing on nourishing her body instead of depriving it. This reduced her cravings and allowed her to stay on track without feeling deprived.

I used to think “being healthy” meant doing more.

More workouts.
More restriction.
More discipline.

And honestly… it looked productive.

I was consistent. I trained hard. I tracked everything.
But behind the scenes?

My cycles were a mess.
My acne was worse.
My body felt inflamed and tense 24/7.

Then I had my “oh sh*t” moment:

why do I feel like I’m fighting my body every single day?

That’s when I realized something most women never get taught:

You can look disciplined… while quietly burning yourself out.

So I rebuilt my routine.

Not with more intensity.
With better alignment.

Productive health started looking like:

✅Eating enough (especially carbs) so my body didn’t feel unsafe

✅Stress regulation so my hormones could actually breathe

✅Tracking my cycle so I stopped training like a man 24/7

And that’s when things finally started shifting.

Because structure doesn’t have to mean intensity.

It can mean support.

AI-powered wearables.

And honestly?

I LOVE it.

Because access is power.
When people can understand their sleep, stress, hormones, and recovery in real time…

that’s a massive step forward.

But there’s one problem that AI can’t solve.

AI can’t pick the dumbbells up for you.

It can’t:
• Get you to the gym on the days you don’t feel like it
• Make you cook the food instead of ordering it
• Stop you from skipping breakfast, then eating everything at 4pm
• Hold you steady when motivation disappears for 2 weeks

And THIS is where I think people are going to make the biggest mistake in 2026:

Spending thousands on health tech…

while still struggling with the basics.

Because the basics aren’t sexy.
They don’t come with an app.
They don’t come in a sleek package.

But they work.

And here’s the part nobody wants to admit:

People don’t fail because they lack information.
They fail because they lack support.

That’s why AI will never replace coaches.

Not because AI isn’t smart.

But because people need people.

They need:
• accountability
• community
• someone to remind them who they are when they forget
• structure when life gets chaotic
• consistency when motivation is gone

Tech is amazing.

But it’s only a tool.

And tools are useless if you never pick them up.

If you want the “future of fitness”…

master the fundamentals first.

Then let the tech enhance it.

Not replace it.

This year is a big evolution: building Blix Fitness as its own brand beyond Bianca Carbone (me). I’m still coaching 1:1 and showing up on LinkedIn the same way, but Blix Fitness is stepping into the corporate space with a “systems-first” approach to performance and wellness.

I don’t strength train to have admirable glutes.

😏 Now that I have your attention…

Let’s talk about the real reason I lift heavy:

Transferable strength.

Because strength training is not just about looking fit.

It’s about living in a body you can actually trust.

Here are 3 real-life examples from my week alone:

1️⃣ I can carry 50 lb bags of salt + shovel whenever needed.
PA just got dumped on, and we had to shovel and salt a few local properties. No hesitation. No “let me find a man.” I jumped right in.
Thank you grip strength + core stability.

2️⃣ I just moved, and my new house has TWO flights of stairs.
Heavy furniture. Beds. Boxes. Up and down. Over and over.
Barely winded. Barely sore.
Thank you quads, glutes, and cardiovascular endurance.

3️⃣ I don’t live with constant low back pain anymore.
No random tightness. No “I slept weird and now I’m broken.”
My posture is so strong that slouching literally feels worse than sitting up straight.
Thank you back muscles + core strength + consistency.

This is what “fit” is supposed to mean.

Not just a body that looks good in leggings…
…but a body that performs in real life.

And honestly? At year 11 of my fitness journey, I’d say my physique is pretty maxed out (no performance enhancing supplements here).

One of the biggest reasons I still train hard?

So I can show up for myself and the people I love with strength, energy, and confidence.

One of the coolest parts about building Blix Fitness programs has been watching the phase structure play out in real life.

This is not a “12-week crash plan.”
 It is a skill-building process.

Most people move through each phase in about 3 to 4 weeks. But because the program is hyper-individualized, some move faster and some take longer. Life, stress, travel, and schedules all matter, and we build around that, not against it.

What I see over and over again:
The first few weeks are about consistency. Routines, structure, and getting the body out of “survival mode.”

Around week 5 or 6 is when the shift happens.
 Clothes start fitting differently.
 The scale may start moving.
 Energy improves.
 Workouts feel stronger.

Not because we rushed fat loss.
 But because we built the foundation first.

By the end of the 12 weeks, the biggest win is not just physical.
People feel like they can take the training wheels off.

 They understand their body.
 They know how to adjust during busy weeks.
 They are no longer starting over every Monday.
