Locorum is a local business rewards platform that empowers small business owners by connecting them with members of hyper-local communities across Canada. We operate on a win-win philosophy: business owners spend less time on expensive lead generation and prospecting while consumers can earn and redeem rewards on their purchases from these businesses just like a normal credit card.

We began our journey as a blog showcasing the best of London’s small business community. As a napkin idea borne in a local coffee shop, I viewed it as an opportunity to amplify the brands of businesses in the town I grew up in. From those early days, we realized that we could make a substantially more meaningful impact with cloud-based technology. Today, Locorum is a highly scalable platform that brings SMBs closer to the communities they serve and incentivizes those communities to shop from local stores.

To date, we’ve helped over 800 small businesses get online and access new customers in hyperlocal markets. At Locorum, my leadership encompasses the following:

I am a community-focused entrepreneur with deep experience in the real estate industry, and latterly in the technology space. Born and raised in London, Ontario, I saw firsthand the challenges that small and mid-size businesses (SMBs) faced with the emergence and prevalence of the ‘big box’ players. The problem was only exacerbated in the bigger cities. That realization drove me to launch Locorum, a rewards platform that drives business to local SMBs by incentivizing communities to shop from them. To date, we have seen exceptional results in London, ON, and are now bringing our product to the Greater Toronto and Vancouver markets.
 
I have also spent 13+ years in progressive roles within the real estate industry. After starting my career as a realtor with Royal LePage Triland, I continued with Keller Williams Lifestyles Realty, creating my own team in 2012, The Santa Sells Houses Real Estate Team, which eventually moved to the Re/Max Centre City Brokerage. Noticing that talent was over-stretched and results were being under-delivered, I decided to harness the power of emerging technology to streamline our processes. Making the customer experience our North Star has made us a household name in London while also focusing us on our primary mission – helping buyers purchase their dream homes and sellers obtain top market value for theirs.

Having led and been a part of diverse teams in my career, I have always been an advocate for my team members’ growth and development. I encourage calculated risk-taking and enterprise as my philosophy revolves around learning quickly from mistakes and seeing the opportunity in every setback.
