Everyone says position yourself as the expert.

No one tells you how shitty that feels

For the last 3 months, my content bored me.

And it shows.

And honestly? Embarrassing to admit now.

My content worked last year because I talked about what I DIDN'T know.

I was in the trenches with people.

A fellow traveler.

The whole point was to show people how to grow by 1000 followers a month using video.

That was it.

And ironically (painfully ironically), that's the exact thing I teach other people to do.

But through a massive period of burnout this Summer, I forgot.

We made $200K+ this year.
That's something to celebrate.
But it came with consequences.

This summer? I burnt out so hard I cancelled nearly every single call on my calendar for 3 months.

Anything that wasn’t necessary got ruthlessly axed.

I had to get chiropractic treatments at my mom's house just to calm my nervous system down.

Burnout is a bitch.

And my content…shifted.

It went from “here’s “what I’m learning in real time" 
to “look, I’ve figured everything out.”

I see the cringe in my own posts now

Always showing yearly revenue
Always talking about leads

The only people who can get away with that now are the ones with such established brands they could post themselves farting in a jar and it'd blow up.

For the rest of us?

We need things that are universally relatable.

aka our story. 

I still have posts that go viral every week.
But I don't think that's the point anymore.

I want to experiment. Learn. Inspire.

Get results - but not pretend like I have it all figured out.

Because I don't.

I don't want there to be some universal takeaway here.

This is just a reflection.

The point is to experiment. Test. Learn. Grow.

Be a good human.

And from that, build a business that lets you buy a home and have a family.

So yeah.

I posted three times this week about leads and revenue. Got 50k+ impressions. Hated every second of writing them.

Tomorrow I might post about farting in jars instead. Or about how I'm still lying on a chiropractic table trying to fix my nervous system.

I don't know which version of me is supposed to show up.

Maybe both.
We'll see.

The thought loop: "What if I'm just good at selling and terrible at delivering?"
 
We just launched our Black Friday giveaway on Friday. Usually $2,700. Giving it away free to one founder.
 
39 people signed up in 48 hours.
 
And the pit in my stomach grew.

Cause like...

So what if I can do it for myself?
 
62 founders trust me with their LinkedIn strategy right now. If this system flops for THEM, that trust evaporates.
 
So I sat in bed at 4AM running worst-case scenarios.

(like being dubbed the next Tai Lopez)
 
Wednesday: 8 new clients start. 
Friday: Our sprint launches. 
Saturday: 5 of them bring in inbound leads.
 
3 days.
 
Not 10 days like I promised. 
Not "eventually." 
3 days.
 
The other 3? I'm 95% confident they'll book this week.
 
Turns out the snake oil fear was a bunch of snake doo doo.
 
The system works. I was just doubting myself. Again.
 
Which brings me to why I'm writing this.
 
If you're a founder willing to roll up your sleeves and actually do the work to get leads through LinkedIn video - I'm giving this system away to one person.

He wants you to believe he made $1.13M in 3 yrs. 

But I've been watching his content for months now.
 
50,000 followers. $700K this year (supposedly)
 
But the suspicious part?
 
If you scroll through his feed, you won't find a single "here's the 5-step process" post. 

No templates. 
No walkthroughs.

Does anyone else find this suspicious? I dunno.
 
At first I thought he was gatekeeping.

So I decided to try it out myself.
 
He SAYS most creators are out here building IKEA instruction manuals. 

Step 1, Step 2, Step 3.
 
They think that's what "providing value" means.
 
And sure, people love it. 
They save the post. 
They send it to their team.
 
But they don't buy.
 
Because you just solved their problem for free.
 
When you hand someone the how-to, you remove the gap. 

Between where they are → [gap] → and where they want to be.
 
That gap? That's your business (supposedly)
 
So I tried Jacob's phony-balony way
 
I show the WHAT (the problem + the proof I solved it). 
Then show WHY (the story behind why it's happening). 
Then point to WHERE (where to look to fix it).
 
But never a single "how-to".
 
and the PROOF he's a shyster...


...it brought in 13 new clients + $16k last month

wait.
that's pretty good.

DANG IT.

I guess Jacob Pegs isn't a shyster afterall.

There's two dials.

Dial #1: How established are you?
 
If your account is teeny weeny (smaller than my sense of pride honestly), you need CTAs.
 
Nick's advice: 3-5 posts a week? 
→ Drop 2 CTAs. Soft. Natural. Not annoying.
 
Because at this stage you NEED the sales to keep the lights on while you build.
 
But if you're bigger? More established?
 
Your reputation sells for you.
 
People already know what you do. They're just waiting for the vibe to feel right.

This is how you go 100% inbound.

Dial #2: What do you actually care about?
 
Growth? Or sales?
 
If you want GROWTH - make your content fun. Bingeable. Shareable.
 
Sell less. Let people fall in love with your brain first.
 
That's the Jillian Richardson playbook. The Nick Power playbook. The Bill Yost playbook.
 
They don't drink milk. They just create content people want to consume.
 
If you want SALES - sell more. Convert the audience you have RIGHT NOW.
 
You'll grow slower. But you'll bank faster.
 
So.
 
How much should YOU sell?
 
1. Depends on your account size.
2. Depends on what you're optimizing for.
 
Stop waiting for someone to give you the universal rule.
 
It doesn't exist.
 
Figure out YOUR game.
 
Then play it.

I get 1-10 leads/post from ~40 mins/video
