→ Assembled 2 multi-disciplined product teams to improve pain point products and prove value.
→ Built product backlogs in Azure DevOps and set up roles and ceremonies for Kanban ways of working.
→ Built SharePoint and Mural-based product team playbooks covering agile, portfolio and roadmap development using monday.com, and governance - to improve maturity and ways of working.

Idea demand management process ensured only critical work takes place and is correctly evaluated and prioritised beforehand, saving £3m of project budget.

Invited to assess the progress made on product centric ways of working with policing, which had fallen under public scrutiny. Assembled a business-case mandate for pivoting on the trajectory taken. Concluded that better, wider understanding of product centricity, senior sponsorship, and a well governed next iteration was needed - enacted by making top-down and bottom-up changes, increasing engagement and transparency, starting with leadership.

Responding to a hard-hitting spending review, the UKHSA had to meet the challenge of providing a reduced IT service whilst quickly losing IT staff. I helped define a potential product team composition of roles, behaviours and interfaces with projects and governance. Identified viable IT products and product teams, consisting of permanent and floating temporary resources able to traverse teams to meet demand.

🎯TMHCC had acquired a series of companies and changed IT leadership. IT needed to both lower operating cost and mitigate delivery risks. Engaged by the new CIO to develop and implement a product operating model, and form product teams with IT resources and business stakeholders in leadership roles, so the business could drive their product’s vision directly & achieve greater customer focus.
→ Assembled and launched 10x line-of-business product teams, following a staged process to initiate the team and set up its ways of working.
→ Built product backlogs in Azure DevOps and queues within ServiceNow and set up roles and ceremonies for ways of working.
→ Built SharePoint-based product team playbooks covering agile, portfolio and roadmap development, and governance - to improve maturity and ways of working.

The CCS had to transform their entire procurement framework, dealing with ageing processes and accommodating changes in legislation following EU exit. Proposed a revised procurement framework by revising the TOM to decrease supplier dependence and rely on APIs and multi-sourced supplier specialist apps working together. Developed user personas covering buyer, supplier, and procurement roles, around the revised procurement system, to meet CCS objectives.

Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities

🎯The DLUHC’s LDCU aims to build councils’ digital capability, by providing training, funding opportunities for digital projects and collaboration across councils through the sharing of digital work. I managed the outflow of monies to councils and suppliers, acted as collaboration manager to several Covid-19 projects, and promoted council engagement on a wider-scale, to mitigate the risks of siloed working and duplicated effort across UK councils.
→ Enabled outbound grant payments to councils that won funding for collaborative digital projects, by managing and improving a complex process between interviews, decision making, policy and business case approvals, through to Treasury consent, grant determination and payment scheduling.
→ Collaboration managed Covid-19 relief projects aimed at using council data towards identifying triggers for social vulnerability, that could prompt early preventative interventions and mitigations.
→ Managed SAP payments to suppliers, procured new suppliers and set up purchase orders.
🏆Provided grant funding through the LDCU of over £10m to councils with high value initiatives and re-engaged 260 local councils to generate interest and lower risks of siloed working and duplication.
