I was a Senior Civil Servant ("SCS1") leader, tasked with transforming and reducing the Civil Estate office portfolio in London, and leading a large, multi-disciplinary team to build and deliver the Government Estate Strategy across London.  This included directing GPA's Whitehall Campus strategy and related estate transformation activities, alongside day-to-day commercial property asset management, across the Civil Estate Office Portfolio in London.  I am also a passionate champion of NetZero activities, supporting aim to achieve 50% emission cuts by 2027.

My strategic aim was to consolidate the Central London estate from over 75 office buildings in April 2017 to a single interoperable Campus of no more than 20 buildings by 2030.  To date, I delivered major taxpayer savings of well over £225M p.a. by closing 35+ offices (2017-2023), with more in the pipeline, alongside multiple major projects.  I led our team to deliver:
-    the £100M fit-out, sub-let and re-let of the 550,000 sq ft flagship hub at 10 South Colonnade in Canary Wharf;
-    completion of the £100M+ refurbishment and fit-out of Old Admiralty Building, for re-use by a major ministerial department;
-    bringing the 110,000 sq ft Windsor House, SW1 into service, to enable Brexit-related surges;
-    the £50M+ fit-out of replacement HQ for a major ministerial department in Whitehall;
-    the £50M+ fit-out of our new "Croydon 2" Hub at 2 Ruskin Square; 
-    multiple retrofit and related projects to save 1,000 tCO2e and reduce utilities costs by £400k pa by end FY 2022/'23; and
-    over 100 other acquisition, disposal, fit-out, move and related projects across the Region to date, with scores more in the pipeline.

Capita PLC / Defence Infrastructure Organisation

Footprint Strategy Lead at MoD for both the Wider London Plan and the Reserves & Cadets portfolio nationally, directing a range of commercial portfolio optimisation activities to meet policy targets towards releasing land for housing, as part of Capita's Strategic Business Partnership with the MoD's Defence Infrastructure Organisation.

I was a key player in our projects to close and sell Hounslow Barracks and Woolwich Barracks sites for redevelopment, including presenting findings at Ministerial level.  My teams' Footprint Strategy work covered both the high-profile "Wider London" portfolio and a national portfolio of c 3,000 operational properties.

As Asset Management Director for our BBC and DVLA contracts, I led portfolio transformation activities and built operational and strategic relationships, up to board level to drive commercial results. 
I created a targeted Estate Strategy, won very major £multi-million extensions of the initial PFI contract, and led the modernisation and transformation of DVLA campuses and national "Local Office Network" portfolio.  I ensured we achieved optimised portfolios for multiple clients to meet business requirements, drive cost savings and secure value for shareholders, driving quality and outputs to ensure we met all our Estates Strategy and Estates / Asset Management deliverables under our PFI / PPP / Total Property Outsourcing contracts.

I am a Senior Real Estate Asset Management Leader, with a strong strategic and commercial focus, building board-level partnerships to optimise global portfolios (>$10BN+) in major, high-profile organisations.  Now actively seeking either interim or permanent roles, either in or near London, or potentially abroad.
 
My previous role was as Deputy Director, London at the Government Property Agency, a fast-growing executive agency of the Cabinet Office, with c £1.9Bn AUM (2022).  I led the team creating, driving and delivering the Government Estate Strategy for Civil Estate offices across London.  Over the decade to 2030, we will radically transform the London office portfolio, investing c £2.0Bn to unlock c £5.0Bn of NPV benefit.
 
My earlier career includes "Footprint" ( / Estate ) Strategy Lead for two key portfolios at Capita, covering over 3,000 properties nationally, unlocking value and releasing land for housing.  Prior to this, I spent over 10 years as Asset Management Director at Land Securities / TeleReal Trillium, transforming our BBC and DVLA client portfolios.  I previously held senior consultancy and property management positions with KPMG, Coopers & Lybrand and Knight Frank & Rutley.
 
Leveraging my diverse public and private sector experience across the entire asset lifecycle, I align investment opportunities to the wider corporate strategy, across large UK-wide and international portfolios.    Security-Cleared (SC), I have a particular passion for all areas of PropTech and am recognised by my peers as a NetZero champion.
 
Across all these roles, I have a proven track record in leading strategic deal-making to maximise estate value, transform commercial property portfolios and deliver high quality asset-level plans.  Working up to board level, I form trusted stakeholder relationships to successfully counsel them through the change process.
 
I am a resilient leader who builds, coaches and mentors teams with integrity and kindness.  With other leadership roles as President of the Cambridge University Land Society (2012-2014), Chairman of its Commercial Forum and founder-member of the Cambridge Land Economy Advisory Board (both since 2009), I work with others to provide thought-leadership and CPD events, and support students and young professionals.
