As a Product Manager at Intechnology I have been involved in various projects which required me to demonstrate my ability to work in an agile manner to see the different products that we work with and sell, through their life cycle. With customers being the main focus of the business, it was imperative that I had them in mind, identifying the correct product or in this case, IoT sensors, I ensured that the sensors delivered the solution that they required. By taking a multitude of sensors from development all the way through to its end of life, I’ve been exposed to many different business analytical techniques, which have really shaped me as a Product Manager. With various data points being collected via the sensors, being able to analyse graphs and the data points played a massive part in my role at InTechnology. By taking this information, from various analytical platforms like Splunk and PowerBi, to then assisting our customers to produce data driven outcomes, which not only improved their workplace efficiency but also showed a positive ROI.

IntechnologySmartcities provides a range of IoT and wireless connectivity packages, built on the back of a cutting-edge data and analytics platform, designed to drive change and improve efficiencies across the private and public sector. Solutions packages are bespoke to the customer, including fully-branded WiFi, data analytics and integration, targeted messaging and marketing, purpose-built B2C tools, and leading IoT and smart city systems. 

During my time I have gained a vast amount of experience with wireless networks, both installing and configuring wireless equipment. I have had exposure to Extreme, Ubiquiti, Aerohive & Mikrotik, all vendors that we configure equipment for our Wireless Networks. I am involved in surveying and designing wireless networks which is required before installing the equipment.  Site surveys are required to help design your network as obstructions like buildings are trees play a massive part with wireless networks as line of sight is key when optimising your signal strength. With an on site survey you can gather together what assets you have available, in our case lampposts and from there you can then begin to build you network creating wireless point-to-point links between each lamppost and then finally back to your backhaul site, majority of the time this would be a building. Our most recent project was a small network of 16 Aerohive Access Points, my involvement in this included creating a detailed designer which assigned IP addresses and SSID's for the equipment used and then configuring the equipment and installing it onto the lampposts.

I joined the Transportation team here in Leeds back in October 2014 and have been lucky enough to be part of some large projects: M1 J39-42, M4 Smart Motorway, A14 and A42. As part of these projects I've helped deliver technical documents in support of highway design. 

Working with clients like Highways England this has driven me to continuously improve on my own technical delivery by ensuring my quality of work is of the highest standards and to my client's expectations. In order for me to do this I have been working on the job to constantly improve me ability in design programmes such as AutoCAD and MXRoad Design.

Using my initiative and planning work to meet certain deadlines are also important attributes.  Simple calculations such as quantity of stock is a day to day part of my job role.
