A New Report Reveals Gen‑Z’s Surprising Approach to AI Is Reshaping the Future of Work

In light of International Women's Day on March 8th, LinkedIn just released new data that finds that women’s progress to the C-suite is slowing after years of gradual gains, raising new concerns about the leadership pipeline. 

Here is what stood out to me:

🔎 Women represent about 44% of the global workforce but only 31% of VP-level roles and above, highlighting how leadership representation still thins significantly at the top.

📉 After peaking in 2022, women’s share of senior leadership hires has declined, suggesting the slowdown is tied more to hiring and promotion dynamics than to women’s ambition or participation.

⚠️ Structural bottlenecks remain along the leadership pipeline. Representation drops sharply during key transitions, especially from senior individual contributor to first-line manager and again from VP to the C-suite.
