When I was a child music connected me with life. I was glued to radio, listening to songs of every kind. I  wrote and composed my first song when I was 12 years old. I have written and composed various kinds of songs -Love songs, Cause-related songs, Inspirational songs and Gospel songs among others.

- Won the First Prize in the 'Youth Festival held to commemorate the International Year of the Youth in the Delhi 1985. Sang my original song “True Love” written and composed by me along with a band. This performance brought me my first Television programme! 

- Sang and performed 6 original songs each for 3 television programmes on Delhi Doordarshan - both National and Delhi Metro channels. 1986-1987 The programme on DD's National channel was repeated several times due to the good response. 

- Sang 6 of my original songs on All India Radio, Goa ’91.
