In September 2013 I was promoted to the General Manager of Nomads Westend which is a 400 plus backpackers. When I took on this new role I upgraded many different aspects of the business as well as taking a more proactive role in decreasing costs and increasing revenue.
Main duties:
	Managing 40 staff members, 4 Team Leaders, 3 Travel Agents as well as outsourced housekeepers and maintenance.
	Account management
	Budget management
	Consistently monitoring competitors, specifically in areas of rates and occupancy.
	Conducting staff training in all key areas of the business weekly.

General Manager, Nomads Westend

I moved to Sydney in February after being headhunted for a manager’s role at one of the largest hostels in the CBD. I started as the Assistant Manager and once I had taken over this role I increased revenue, reviews and the overall appearance of the hostel.
Main duties:
 Roster for 30 staff members and several internships
 Interviewing and hiring for internships and volunteers
 Banking, auditing, stock takes.
 Ensuring a high level of customer service always achieved

My progression through The Sleeping Inn Company is a clear sign of my dedication and hard work. I was managing Sleeping Inn Beachside apartments when I took over the full time management at the Backpackers.
Main duties:
 Liaising with agents worldwide for Travel and accommodation
 Managing 20 staff members to a 150 plus hostel.
 Marketing new products throughout the industry
 Planning travel itineraries for 150 backpacker’s throughout Australia and New Zealand.

I specialise in recruiting both temporary and contract positions and have placed over 2000 candidates within charity organisations in Australia.
